Chapter 100

Chapter 100 Alaric's POV I knew she was tired last night but she had spent a whole day in her room. She would have the noise from here and it would have been enough to wake her up. I didn’t see her after she sent I and Ryan out of the room and I also didn’t let him see her last night because I knew she’d be tired and I didn’t want anyone to bother her. This was unlike Arielle because she was always around but I hadn’t seen her for the whole day and I was starting to get bothered. I was about to see her when the owner blocked me and he started talking to me about the whole party stuff. Was that also a coincidence or was there something wrong like I predicted? Arielle hated staying alone, especially in locked places. Even if she was angry at me or something, she would still be around, she would just ignore my existence. I was worried that it was showing on my countenance and Ryan noticed and he snapped me out of my deep thoughts. “Thinking of a way to get out of this?” “No, I’m thinking about Arielle.” This isn’t the best time to start thinking about Arielle, are you trying to taunt me something?” “Of course not, don’t you think something is wrong, did you end up seeing her last night? I’m worried about her.” “Have you forgotten? You didn’t let me see her, you said she was probably tired and I would bother her if I went to see her, you told me to see her today.” “I remember, but did you end up seeing her today? Did you talk to her? I haven’t seen her around and she’s supposed to be here.” “I thought you didn’t want me to see her last night because you wanted to talk to her and you probably said something that pissed her off, you know how she is, and maybe that’s why she decided not to come down.” He said balmy but I was slightly pissed but this wasn’t the time for an argument. All of this would have made sense but I didn’t even see her last night because I also didn’t want to bother her and I didn’t end up seeing her before the owner walked up to me. “I didn’t even see her last night, I also didn’t want to bother her so I wanted to see her today and that was the exact time the owner walked up to me telling me about the celebration, and my attention was diverted.” “If what you’re saying is true then u think something is wrong around here and we should check on Arielle, just be sure she’s fine,” Ryan said, and hearing it from someone else made me realize that I should have left here to check up on her. We stood up in sync and rushed to the door and the owner immediately blocked us. I stared at him with so much disgust in my eyes because what the hell did he think he was trying to do? “Where are you both going? The party isn’t over yet.” He said still with a fake smile plastered on his face but I could see through it now. “We need to do something.” Ryan tried to leave but he blocked him again. What the hell was this bastard trying to do? “What the hell are you doing? Are you trying to hold us back here or what?” Ryan snapped at him: “I’m trying to be nice, I said you can’t leave her young men.” “You’re such a joker, and who’s going to stop us, you?” I said laughing hysterically. Just then the guards started losing consciousness one after the other as they fell to the floor. I was alerted as I watched them and they seemed lifeless, and I was annoyed and infuriated because I knew he was behind it. “What the hell did you do!” I yelled at the owner holding his collar tightly with so much anger following through my veins. “What do you mean, they’re drunk, are you trying to blame me for something here?” “Wolves won’t get this drunk with a little drink and the collapsing is also part of the drinks? What did you do with the food and the drinks? I know you’re behind this.” “So this is why you wanted us to have the drinks and food too so we can also be in this same state, who the hell are to and what are you up to? You’re messing with the wrong people.” Ryan said but he started laughing at our remarks. “What the hell is funny? What did you do to my men?” I sampled at him but he managed to break from my grip and he stepped away from me. “You had better talk before you lose your life, where’s Arielle, what did you do to her?” “What do you mean what did I do to her, what’s my business with her?” “I swear if anything should happen to her, I’ll make sure you pay with your head!” I said charging towards him but Ryan held me back. “Wait.” “What?” “Can you hear that?” I stopped to listen and I heard a loud thud, like some people were approaching where we were. I looked over at the owner and he had an evil smirk on his face. Who was this bastard? Who was he working for? Just then a large amount of rogues stormed into the room and before we knew what was happening, we were surrounded by rogues who filled every single part of the room. So he was one of them all these while? I knew there was something wrong with him! “What do we do?” Ryan asked as we scanned through the room but I was blank. “I..don’t know.” I muttered angrily because I felt so stupid not to have noticed that this bastard was a fake!
