Clean getaway

There will be mild description of violence in this chapter (sort of action) but if you read the prologue... I guess y'all don't need this warning. *-*-*-* The guards were yelling orders at each other as they dragged an unconscious Darren, it took just one punch to the jaw to put the brat to sleep, and a roughened Nate Shaw into the temple. Nate hurt in a lot of places and knew that he was going to be a awful sight this time tomorrow, if he saw this time tomorrow, as the guards were already headed straight for the opened temple doors and Nate knew that there was no way out of this. Whatever was being kept there seemed to be a really big deal judging from the guards frantic movements and calls. Even the sheer number of guards surrounding them was a big give away. There were at least two dozens guards, each with a sword that they most definitely knew how to wield and Nate knew that even with Johnson's guns, they had a very slim chance of escaping. Especially if there were even more security details outside of the building. This was supposed to be a simple break in and rescue situation but somehow, the guards had been altered to their perpetration and they were surrounded in five seconds flat. Nate swallowed down the salty metallic taste in his mouth as he was held down on his knees. It felt like he had a loose tooth from his fight with the guards before he was quickly overcome. He was going to die in Japan as a criminal. His father was going to laugh his ass off to hear that. Or he would curse him to Hades. Or both. He was the black sheep of his family. The only child since his mother died giving birth to him and his father only married again much much later when Nate himself was a legal teenager and he didn't have a child with his new wife who was a divorcee and probably passed her child bearing age. Everything from Nate's non professionals job, a social media influencer, to his penchance for the dangerous and the thrill, the fact that he would not settle down with at least a steady girlfriend or dating back to the fact that he was a college dropout were sources of disappointment to his father. Nate could not blame the man anyway. He knew his father loved him and wanted a good life for him but his idea of living and his father's idea of living were two completely different things. And seems like his own idea was about to get him killed. A man gave a string of words in their tongue to the guards and they advanced for the front of the temple where there was an opened trapdoor. Another barked order had some of the guards moving towards the door and one of them began to descend down when he let out a short yell. That sound was enough to send the other guards into a frenzy and they all tried to descend down when Nate saw a human-ish creature in seemingly rags basically fly out of the dark hole in the ground. The humanoid had long but tangled mop of black and dirty hair. Her clothes which might have been a bright red at some point was covered in dust, dirt, hay, and goodness knows what else. She had a sword in her left hand. As Nate watched, she landed on her feet from that awesome flight-like jump and spinned the sword in her left hand as though testing it's weight, she then raised it at the soldiers around her in a silent invitation. They went for her with loud cries. The female flipped backwards once and stabbed her sword forward at one of the guards. The man went down immediately. The lady in rags moved like a dancer in fluidity, with a grace much like a swan. She moved through the flashes of swords, followed by the sprays of blood and howls of pain. Nate and the other two watched as one by one, the guards fell to the wooden floor. The rest of the guards ran off with shouts of alarm, including the ones holding him down. "Quick, we need to leave immediately. They would be back with help and if we are still here..." Elle let the word trail off but she needn't say anything anyways. Their imagination was enough to fill the void. Once free, Nate went to wake Darren who was still unconscious on the ground. He felt a presence on his side and Darren was off the ground and swung over Johnson's shoulder in a second. They ran out of the building, and quickly made their way to the wall. This time, the fighter lady which Nate discovered, smells as bad as she looked, was behind them too. "Who's your friend? And did you even get what we came for?" Nate asked the duo who had gone down beneath the temple. "Yes, we got what we came for. I'll explain once we are out of this place." Elle said to him. When they got to the wall that they had scaled earlier in the night and made it safely across too. Once on the floor, Nate sprinted after Elle who was ahead and the lady from the temple was behind them following their lead without question. Or at least, none that Nate could recognise as questions. Behind them, the sounds of yells into the night proceeded the whistle of fireworks and light shone all around them from their combustion in the atmosphere. The rag lady spoke in a strange tongue suddenly to Elle. "Hurry they are coming. Move, move." Elle yelled at them to make them move faster, especially at Johnson who was slowed down by the weight of the Darren. "Waaaaa.... Pretty." Darren uttered from behind Johnson. "Oh, he is awake. Thank goodness." Johnson said immediately letting the other male down to run by himself. The sound of several battle cries made Nate glance back. He glanced behind to see several guards scaling the walls and even more running out of the gate. They all made it to the chopper and safely out of the area, making their clean getaway. Then Elle Jobs filled them in on Hina Tanaka.
