I took several gulps of air to steady myself. Why had I thought the emotional part of this would be easy? Of course it wouldn't be, no matter how hardened my heart had become. "Remember..." The glass moved almost immediately by itself, sliding over the napkin to the letters. Seph said the letters as it paused on them and then put them into words. "Biscuit will not move from this...circle?" she said. I laughed through a fresh onslaught of tears. "Biscuit?" Echo asked. "His nickname for me. I...have a thing for bread, and it's kind of a family joke," I admitted. "I hadn't noticed," Seph whispered, a smile in her tone. "So, it really is him. Ask away, Dawn, but be quick.
