Ellie's POV
Clearly, my life had changed, but it still felt like everything was happening way too fast.
Allen and I hadn't even discussed the meeting, and he already had a date for it. He seemed so excited, and I didn't want to crush his joy, telling him that I felt like everything was happening a little too fast, when I wasn't even sure that I wanted to do this, to begin with.
I stood on the balcony and watched the entire city, taking in the cold breeze and watching the stars. I was doing everything I could to distract my mind.
I was caught in my own world and could not notice the passing of time, until I felt a presence right beside me.
"Do you have plans to return to the party?" I heard a soft tone and quickly turned around.
"Daniel?" I called with an element of surprise.
