"Alpha Jones," I called, standing up and staring into his eyes. "You know, I had only one regret: leaving the camp in a hurry," Alpha Jones said. I didn't make it to one minute, staring into his eyes. His gaze was quite piercing, and he had an intimidating look and aura. "What is that?" I questioned, under my breath, keeping my head bowed. "I never got to bond with you," Alpha Jones responded, "but I guess the moon goddess had plans for us to meet again," he said. "I'd like to call it a second chance," he drew closer to me. "Maybe a well-deserved one," he whispered into my ears. "Why did you leave?" I probed, "and in such a hurry," I added, as though I was not trembling from the crown of my hair to the sole of my feet.
