Blurry-eyed, Ellie's eyes finally grew open. She squinted as the bright light of the room shone directly into her eyes. How long had she been out? She curiously wondered, but there was no way to tell. She groaned softly as she took her eyes open once more. The ceiling stared right back at her, and it only took her a moment to realize that she was still in her nightmare of a room. Just her and her tiny framed window. Thankfully, the ventilation was fresh and just right like Goldie's porridge. Raising a weary hand to her head, she rubbed her sore temple and let her eyes fall asleep for another few seconds.
