Jane did not speak a single word for the first few minutes, which was quite out of character.
This action made Alpha Jones and Kate buy into my school of thought, as it appeared that she knew something about the death of Emily that she was not saying.
The longer she kept quiet, the more upset I was getting, as my mind filled in blank spaces with rather unpleasant thoughts.
I could not believe that Jane would do something, or anything at all, to jeopardize the plans that she was well aware of.
Emily was a b***h and if anyone was supposed to kill her, it would have been me, but as much resentment as I had in my heart towards her, I was still waiting to finish the mission, even though I wasn't sure what hers was.
