We had nowhere to go and only waited out in the woods, until the men got tired and eventually left.
When we returned to the cottage, I was awfully quiet, despite all the numerous efforts to get me to speak to all three of them. Kate and Alpha Jones were the most worried about me. Jane, on the other hand, was really exhausted, and I understood that the entire scenario was quite challenging for her.
I knew Emily's intentions were not very clear, but I didn't imagine that she would go this far. Taking her own life to cause this much chaos was rather uncalled-for.
After the men left, we returned to the house and waited to take off tomorrow.
