"Good morning, Ellie," Kate said, walking me through the hallway to the dining room.
"What do we suffer for helping Allen?" I asked her.
"Losing our powers permanently," Kate responded, "the mer-queen only stores her power in vessels like us, and helping a werewolf would be considered treason, and we lose them," she explained.
"And if I make a wish?" I asked,
"You seal the mate bond between you two," Kate replied, "Daniel gets another mate,"
"And you're okay with that?" I asked her,
Kate took a deep breath, "Just save him, Ellie," she said, and then I walked into the dining room.
