Savannah I dragged myself out of bed and padded to the bathroom. My reflection stared back, blank and confused. My neck still carried his mark. The bond was sealed, irreversible. All I felt was heat in my throat and questions buzzing in my head. I rinsed, tossed the brush back into the cup, and sat back on the edge of the bed. The house was too quiet. Xavier had gone for his morning run.
