Savannah My body and mind thrummed with an unbearable restlessness. Sleep was distant. I couldn’t reach it. I kept turning, tossing on the bed, the shadows in the room feeling like they were closing in on me. I finally threw off the blanket and got out of bed, my bare feet cold on the floor.
