I woke up this morning excited and looking forward to tonight. I have a possible mate and I am halfway through with completing the biggest heist that I have planned. I got up brushed my teeth, washed my face, and combed my hair before putting it into a ponytail and going downstairs. I did not really see the point in changing out of my pajamas seeing how I was just going to lounge around the house until tonight anyway. When I got into the kitchen there was a gourmet breakfast prepared and it was so delicious I ate a lot of everything I was so full I couldn’t even go back to my room to lay down so I just laid down on the couch.

 Jade came up and moved my feet off the couch and said, “Did you enjoy the breakfast?”

I replied, “Yes I enjoyed it. I never would have eaten so much if I did not enjoy it. Where is everyone?”

She started massaging my feet and said, “Ashley is in her study finishing up your necklace. Aiden and Luke got called into work like we expected they would be. Marcy is in the arms room doing some target practice.”

 “What about Dominic and Eric?”

“Well they are cleaning up the kitchen together because they lost a bet to me.”

 “What was the bet regarding?”

 “They didn’t think that you would eat so much food because you normally only eat a little bit.” “I know but it was so good I just couldn’t stop myself.”

“Why were or are you so happy this morning? Don’t get me wrong I love it when you are happy, but it is different to see none the less.”

“Well last night when we got back before I went to sleep, I told Liam that I would give mating him a chance.”

 “So, you guys are going to be official mates?”

 “Well not official mates we aren’t going to seal the bond until I figure out more about him and my whole parents’ situation.”

 “What about the whole he is trying to lock us up thing?”

“That’s another reason why I don’t want to make it official yet, but I do have to start filling him out to see if we can trust him because I love all you guys so much and I would never do anything to put you guys in harm’s way.”

 “We love you too. Now take a nap so that your food can digest a little faster.”

“Can you sing to me to help me sleep?”

By the time she was finished singing I was fast asleep I loved hearing Jade sing it was so soothing. I do not even think that the rest of the family knows that she can sing because she only does it for me when we are alone which is not as much as I would like. I feel a weirdly close connection with her that I do not feel with the others it is almost as strong as a mate connection, but it is not like how I feel for Liam. I woke up two hours later and decided it was about time to go and figure out what I’m going to wear to this thing tonight and I still need to figure out who is going to be Luke’s date seeing how I’m now going with Liam. It is between Jade and Marcy maybe if I go and ask Ashley, she will help me decide between the two. I went upstairs and I went into my closet and I first looked at the outfit that Liam put together for me which was an emerald dress with shimmery satin that combines to create a floor-sweeping gown from Xscape, Badgley Mischka Kiara embellished peep-toe evening pumps, INC International concepts I.N.C. Ranndi sparkle clutch, 10k gold emerald and white diamond accent oval ring, and 10k gold emerald and diamond accent earrings but then I also wanted to wear my dark blue diamond necklace that I have Ashley working on. I started going through the evening gowns to see what I had that would allow me to wear the accessories at least and my necklace. After about shifting through about twenty dresses I finally landed on a turquoise dress that shifts from dark blue to emerald depending on the light and angle it was a mermaid spaghetti strap long beading satin dress with a long slit up the side. I looked at the dress next to everything else and it was perfect so now that I had that problem solved, I decided to call ash on the intercom to get her opinion.

 I said, “Hey Ash I know you hate being bothered while you are working but I need your help.” She replied, “This better be good.”

 “It is. You know how I was going to be Luke’s date but due to me finding my mate and being as he is going to this thing to, I know have to be his date.”

“Yes. I happened to be present in your life so get to the part where you need my help.”

“I don’t want to leave Luke flying solo, so I was thinking that I get one of the other girls to go with Luke, but I don’t know which on to ask.”

 “Why are you confused about this? I thought it would be pretty obvious which one should go with him.”

 “What do you mean by that?”

“Well Marcy is amazing, and she can act her ass off, but she doesn’t do anything without it either benefiting her in some way or it’s something that she wants to do. Jade is super sweet and would look amazing in a dress next to Luke.”

 “So, you choose Jade.”

 “Yep the only thing is that she doesn’t own anything that would be formal enough for this event.”

 “Did you forget who you were talking to?”

 “Yes, for a second I did now go do what you have to do so that I can finish with this necklace and get Aiden and I ready.”

I hung up the call went to find Jade and dragged her to my closet. I sat her down in my closet chair and again went to looking at the dresses that I have in my closet.

While I was searching Jade said, “What am I doing in here?”

 “Well I am looking for you a dress to wear and it helps if I can see you.”

 “Looking for me a dress for what?”

 “I thought that it would be nice if you came to the ball with us.”

 “You want me to go to the ball and be Luke’s date don’t you.”

“Yes, is that okay with you.”

 “Yes, but you could have just asked instead of dragging me into your closet.”

 “True but I figured if I found you the right dress it would help me in convincing you to deal with Luke for an undetermined amount of time.”

 “I mean a nice dress is never a bad thing, but I don’t think Liam is that bad considering I have dealt with him and his ways for ten years now.”

 “You have a point there.”

 I pulled out four different Dresses and I gave her the first one which is a gray sequin fitted gown that has a skirt slit with a sweetheart neck and spaghetti straps.

When she came and modeled the dress for me and she asked, “What do you think?”

I replied, “You look good, but I think that it might be a little too formal let’s try the others.”

The next dress she tried on was a red floor-gazing silhouette extenuated your figure while the sweeping train made by Lovers + Friends.

Jade said, “It looks nice, but I don’t feel that it’s me which makes since seeing how you bought it for you.”

 I laughed and said, “Ok you can go try on the next one then.”

She came back in was a 2004 Gucci Tom Ford Runway white cut-out dragon brooch gown. When I saw her, I said, “You look amazing this has to be the dress. How do you feel?”

She replied, “I love the dragon brooch ad I love how it feels on my body, but I want to try on the last one so that I can be sure.”

“Okay but I’m telling you that this is definitely the dress for you, and I have the perfect clip to put in your hair.”

 She left to the bathroom to change into the final dress which is another 2004 Gucci Tom Ford dress but this one is an embellished dove grey cocktail dress. She looked so uncomfortable in this dress that I could not help but to laugh. While I was laughing, she went back and changed back into previous dress.

She said, “I’m back into the other dress so do your thing so that you can get ready.”

I grabbed a pair of gold London Rebel wide fit strappy sandals with a little five-inch heel on it and had her put them on. Then I moved her to my vanity, and I stood behind her and I brushed, combed and added a little bit of gold glitter to her hair before I put it in a Khaleesi twist. When I was done with the twist, I put a 24-karat gold clip with a dragon ornament in the middle that is also decorated with ruby gems.

She looked at herself in the mirror and said, “Wow I can’t even believe that this is me in the mirror.”

 I replied, “Well it is and its about to get a whole lot more unbelievable once the makeup is applied.”

 I turned her away from the mirror then Ashley came in and said, “I will finish her up because you need to get ready yourself. What kind of look were you going for with Jade?”

 “I was going for an innocent but fierce look. Use the deep red matte lipstick and my black lipliner and eyeliner.”

“Do you want me to do your hair and makeup?”

“Yes, let me get dressed first and use my covering so that her clothes don’t get dirty.”

 I walked into my closet and I put on my dress and shoes plus the accessories including the necklace that Ashley finished for me.

When I walked out of the closet both Jade and Ashley looked at me and said, “Omg you look amazing.”

Then jade continued and said, “No one is going to be able to keep there eyes off of you.”

Ashley responded, “Unless of course they are mated.”

 I looked at Jade with her make up done and she looked gorgeous I looked at Ash and said, “You did an amazing job with her makeup that was exactly how I envisioned it.”

She replied, “Thanks now sit down so I can do yours because if what my mate is mind linking me is true, we don’t have much time.”

I walked over to my vanity, sat down and looked at myself trying to figure out how I wanted my hair and makeup.

After about a minute of just staring at myself from every angle possible I said to Ashley, “I want my hair in a curly ponytail with a bump and I want my make to be minimal but I want it to showcase my best facial features but also give off a s*x kitten vibe. And what is Aiden saying is going on downstairs?”

She put the cover over my shoulders to protect my clothes then started doing my hair and said, “Well from what I could pick up was that Liam is here and he has been here for a minute. Marcy opened the door for him and was rude even for her but after she let him she led him straight to the living room not allowing him to look around much even though everything related to the heist is either burned or is in the vault. And now they are all sitting opposite of him and Marcy is staring at Liam like he just ran up and stole her fresh kill right from under her nose.”

 “Oh, wow then we might want to hurry because if that is true its only a matter of time before she attacks and attacking an Alpha is so not a good idea. Jade since you are finished could you go downstairs and try to prevent Marcy from doing something, we would all regret.”

Jade replied, “Yea I will go but for the record if she does attack I’m going to let the boys handle her from there because the only one of us who has ever beat her in a fight is you.”

 “Alright now go.”

 She left and a closed my eyes and just started daydreaming it was not of anything in particular but I felt like I was in a safe place where I didn’t have no stress or worries it was just me floating.

I must have either dozed off or was so caught up in my daydream because Ashley tapped me on my shoulder and said, “I’m finished, and we need to go so naptime is over.”

We did one last full body check making sure that everything was in place and when we were satisfied with the results, we left my room and went downstairs to the living room where everybody was waiting. I looked at Liam on one couch sitting all perfect like he was modeling for GQ magazine then I look on the other side where the boys are holding Marcy down and Jade was sitting on her lap it actually looked kind of comical in a way.

I looked at Liam and said, “Okay I’m ready to go.”

 In a matter of second Aiden, Luke and Jade all dismounted and released Marcy and started heading for the door where Ashley was already waiting to go. Liam got up too but instead of heading for the door he looped his arm around mine and escorted me to his car old fashioned style even opening my door for me and waiting for me to buckle up before closing my door and proceeding to the driver side. After everyone was in their cars and were buckled in (according to Liam) we headed to the location that the ball was being held which was at the MAD Museum. When we got to the location there was a makeshift red carpet to walk with photographers at the start, middle and end of it. As we were waiting for our turn to walk the carpet, I unbuckled my seatbelt and fixed my dress as best as I could seeing how I was still sitting down.

Liam must have caught me trying to adjust my clothes and said, “You look perfect. When it is our turn, I want you to stay in the car until I open the door and offer you my hand to help you out of the car. Is that understood?”

After hearing his orders apart of me wanted me to argue but I suppressed that part for now seeing how if I get my way, I will have plenty of time to argue and defy him later.

Instead I said, “Thank you for the compliment and as for the rest yes sir.”

He laughed and after two minutes I did exactly what he said and let him help me out of the car. I looked at the cameras and smiled and posed and it was perfect I could not wait to see how the photos turned out. I looked around the room to see if I could spot anybody and I did not have any luck. I tried to stay near Liam, but I started to feel like I was being watched so I excused myself and headed toward the bathroom. When I got there the person watching me did not follow, I could just be being paranoid, but I did end up locating the girls.

I asked, “Where have you guys been?”

Jade replied, “Exploring. We figured we would use this opportunity to check the place out.”

I kind of wish I had thought about that, but I said, “And what did you find?”

Ashley said, “Security is tight here cameras everywhere, laser grids, around twenty-night guards and that just what we can see for this event.”

 I said, “Well we knew this was going to be a hard job to pull off if it were easy, I would be a little disappointed. Ok let us go out there mingle with the boring people so that we can get the hell out of here because I’m getting bad feeling being here.”

Jade asked, “What kind of bad feeling?”

 “I don’t know bout I feel like someone is watching me from the shadows. And not knowing who both is pissing me off and creeping me out.”

 We all left the bathroom and went to find our dates. After about three hours of mingling and smiling we finally got to leave.

When we got back in the car Liam said, “Thank you for coming with me.”

 I replied, “Your welcome but I’m still in heat and I have been trying to hide it all night so can we go to your place and f**k already.”

 I guess I said the magic words because he pulled his siren and placed it on top of his car and towards it on before he started racing toward his place.
