The next day I felt amazing and refreshed so I decided to wear something that reflected my mood. I went into my closet and grabbed an emerald green silk-cotton blend floral lace sleeveless dress from Dolce & Gabbana, N21 emerald satin raso knot peep toe mules sandals, my traditional Indian design 20kt gold choker necklace and bangle set, and I grabbed my tan purse with the cheetah head design on it then I went to go clean up and dress for the day. When I got downstairs breakfast was already on the table waiting courtesy of Dom and Marcy. There were pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, medium rare steak, biscuits, blueberry and banana nut muffins, and fresh squeezed orange juice which is oddly enough all my favorite breakfast foods. I grabbed my seat and Eric put a plate in front of me with everything on it. I looked at everyone and asked, “So who did something wrong?” Ashley laughed and said, “Nobody did anything wrong I think.” “So, what’s with the gourmet breakfast?” “We just wanted to show you how much we love you.” Dom and Marcy both looked at Ashley and said, “We?” Ash looked at them and said, “Yes we.” Marcy looked at me and said, “Ash I didn’t see you flip not a one pancake or squeeze not one orange at least the others helped a little bit with prepare the meal the you see before you.” Ash smiled and rebottled like she does best, “When I mated with Aiden, we became one being both spiritually and physically and since he helped with breakfast that means that we helped with breakfast.” “I’m not sure that’s how mating and physical labor works but I’m going to let you like in your fantasy bubble a little bit longer but anyway the reason Dom and I did this for you because we know how painful your heat is and with you just finding your mate it’s going to be that much worse so we thought that you could use a nice breakfast.” Dom said, “That’s all true but I also did it because they need you at the club tonight.” “Which one?” “Sexy ni Shifter (Club Sexy Shifter)” “Why do they need me there?” “For two reasons one Brittney has been let’s just say running away customers with her bad attitude and we need you approval to fire her especially seeing how she is a member of a certain wolf pack who’s Alpha wants to get in your pants and two the inspector is coming tonight for his biannual checkup.” “alright I will be there around nine o’clock tonight make sure nobody knows I’m coming in tonight make sure the Brittney is scheduled to work and Luke can you give me your bosses number don’t ask me why just please.” Luke pulled out his phone and texted her Liam’s number then they all finished their breakfast in silence and went their separate ways. I went to the garage and decided to ride in my red Lamborghini today but before I put the key in the ignition, I called Liam he picked up after the third ring and I guess Luke told him that he gave me his number because the first thing he said was my name.

 I said, “We need to talk.”

He replied, “Did you like the gifts?”

“I’m pretty sure your beta told you how I felt about those gifts and what I need to talk to you about has nothing to do with us.”

 “Then what is it about.”

“Does the name Brittney ring any bells?”

He paused for a few seconds then asked, “What about her?”

 “She’s a member of your pack right.”

“Yes.”

 “Well chances are you’re going to have to find her a new job.”

 “Why?”

 “Because I’m going to fire her if what I keep hearing about her is true. And if you have not guessed I own majority shares in the club she works out. So, to prevent any unwanted scenes from being had I need you to meet me at the club around nine tonight and make sure she shows up to work tonight.”

 “Alright I will be there but enough about her I want to talk about us now.”

“There is no us.”

“Yet.”

 “Whatever that’s why there will never be an us because I will not be controlled by any man and until I decide that there is a man out there who is worthy of me mating them I will do and f**k whoever the hell I want.”

“What do you mean by f**k whoever you want?”

“That is none of your concern.”

 “You started your heat, didn’t you?”

“Yes, but I have it taken care of even though Luke won’t help me anymore because of you and this whole maybe we are mates thing and he doesn’t want to have any issues with you.”

“That’s good that Luke’s not helping you with your heat but that still makes me wonder who is.”

 I realized he was not going to take the hint and leave it alone, so I hung up the phone and started the ignition of my car and drove away. I realized I did not have a specific destination in mind, so I just drove and thinking about the conversation I had with Liam working myself from being annoyed to just pissed off. So, I ended up driving to the Amaris pack. I stopped about a mile from there pack line and I just started watching there patrolling route and I found a few loop holes in it so I got out of my car went into my trunk and grabbed a little one strap backpack that I use to carry my clothes once I have shifted and I removed my clothes shifted and took to the trees. I sniffed the air and caught Liam’s scent and followed it when I got close enough, I could see him but also far enough that he could not see or scent me I stopped. I watched him as he watched the cubs play and the soldier’s practice. I started to get bored after a while so I was excited when I could feel that I had been spotted all I could think was how exciting it would be to kick the ass of these smug ass wolfs who though they were better than cat shifters she still remembered hoe Liam tried to get Aiden and Luke to join his stupid pack. I climbed down the tree and slowly crept though the trees and hid when the wolf got near, I smiled the best I could in my cat form and thought, “Time to teach this puppy a lesson.” When he got a little too close for comfort, I pounced on top of him and with barely any effort at all I pinned the wolf to the ground and waited for him to submit which did not take long. He must have called Liam though his link to his alpha because he was not far behind, I could scent him getting closer, so I jumped into the nearest tree and waited. I did not have to wait long when he got there, I guess he scented me because he looked up and said, “Cleo.” I nodded my head in response to his statement. He smiled, “Can you shift back so we can talk I wouldn’t want my pack mates to hurt you?” I shifted back to my human form, but I stayed on the branch that I was on. I could feel the bark of the tree biting into the skin of my bare ass, but I did not mind because I know that it will heal quickly.

 I looked down and smiled at Liam and asked, “How do I look from that angle?”

He smiled at me and said “Amazing. What are you doing here?”

“Would you believe me if I said I was just in the area.”

“No but I would like to know how you got this far without being detected and how you got my head enforcer to submit to you in a fight in a matter of seconds? Also, the fact that you have an extraordinarily strong scent of a male that I don’t recognize?”

 I jumped down and of course landed on my feet. I looked him directly in his eyes and said “The scent is none of your business. As for the submitting and getting this far into your territory without being detected that is because I am awesome plus you have a lot of blind spots in your security that I took advantage of. You should really fix that.”

“Trust me I plan to. What are you doing here?”

“Why all the questions your starting to bore me? I’m going to go put my clothes on now.”

“I want answers Cleo now.”

“There’s that big bad alpha complex I have heard so much about.”

“Cleo!”

“Fine but you are going to have to wait I have to go get my car and I will meet you at your place.”

“I can have one of the guys get it for you.”

I used my alpha voice and said, “No you won’t because if they so much as lay a finger on my baby, they will lose it.”  When I looked around everyone, but Liam was showing their necks which is a sign of submission. I smiled then shifted and ran towards my car. I put my clothes on in the car then as I was starting it up to drive back to Liam but my phone started ringing it was Luke so I answered I said, “ what’s up Luke?” he replied, “did you forget that we had a double date today? You have me here with these people and they are being overly cute with each other it’s sickening.” I laughed and replied, “I’m sorry something came up but I’m on my way be there in ten.” I hung up and texted Liam ‘see you tonight.’ Then I drove to the mall. I reapplied my lipstick and fixed my hair then I went inside and met them at the food court. Luke sniffed at me looked at Aiden and he sniffed me too I looked at them and said, “Just ask.”

Luke asked, “Why do you smell like wolfs and Liam being one of them?”

 “It’s a long story.”

 “We have nothing but time and this is a story I will be patient enough to hear.”

“Fine. I sort of went to go see Liam got into a little debate with another wolf.”

 “Debate huh. You mean a formal discussion on a topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward. I have a feeling that you ‘debate’ wasn’t formal in anyway.”

“Ok smartass. I called Liam like you told me to and I told him to meet me at the club tonight and he pissed me off by being all alpha saying we were mates and I shouldn’t be f*****g anyone but him even though I have not accepted the dumbass mating bond so I went to his territory snuck in kicked the ass of his head enforcer then came here to meet you guys.”

Ashley said, “What the hell did you do that for that’s the equivalent of declaring war and we get to much s**t going on to be preparing for war with a wolf pack?”

 I looked at her and said, “Relax Ash I’m just having fun with him I don’t think he would declare war on us he was impressed actually.”

 “Oh, so your smitten with Mr. Alpha.”

“Well considering I am an alpha myself I respect his strength and with him being my true mate I like him and all, but we can’t mate. So, it’s just for fun ill cut him loose soon.”

Ash replied, “Why the hell not?”

“You know why not Ash. I am a half shifter who is completely clueless about what the other half and my cat has been a b***h about keeping me in the dark my entire life. Then on top of that we aren’t the most legit group of people in the eyes of the law.”

“True I guess you have a point there.”

“Anyway, I would like to find out who my parents were before I mate plus, I will not let that asshole of an alpha bully me into mating him.”

“How is he bullying you? By buying you nice things and asking out on a date which you declined by the way. If that is bullying, then I would not mind it at all. And didn’t we come here to do something and not sit in the food court gossiping all day like teenagers.”

“You and I both know we did a hell of a lot more than gossip at malls when we were teenagers, but I do see your point. Where do you want to start?”

“J. Mendel!”

So, we all got up and drove to J. Mendel’s store on 5th Avenue. When we got there the assistant walked right up to us and offered us a glass of champagne. I did a quick sweep of the place to sort of get the lay of the land the grabbed a flute. We were led to a private dressing room I sat down in the middle seat and the boys sat on either side of me.

Ash said, “I guess this means that I’m going first.”

Aiden replied, “Yep seeing how Cleo has her outfit.”

 I replied, “Not necessarily who’s to say I’m going to wear what he wants me to.”

Ash said, “I know you hate being told what to do but don’t take it out on beautiful clothes.”

“I’m not but I might find something better.”

“I doubt that whatever arguing with you is like trying to get a mountain to move locations.”

“I will take that as a compliment.”

“If being called stubborn and unreasonable at times is a complement then take it as you will.”

“I will now go try on some damn dresses.”

After about an hour of trying on dresses in every color and style that Ash liked she finally found a black one shoulder draped gown with fold over pleat detail and an asymmetrical one shoulder design with a large front side slit. It looked so gorgeous on her and she could not stop smiling when she had it on it was like it was made for her. After she made her purchase we left to go look for something for the boys because though I was talking s**t about not wearing the dress that Liam got me I had to admit that the made had excellent taste and I looked hot as hell in that dress. We walked over to Saks and when we got there it took them less than ten minutes to pick out a tux the only problem was it was the exact same suit. They wore a modern windowpane check sport jacket with matching pants, black collection leather penny loafers, and collection stud set cotton tuxedo shirt. The only real difference was that Aiden had on a black collection formal floral jacquard silk tie and Luke’s tie was emerald.

I looked at Ash and said, “They spend way too much time together.”

 “Yea I think they need to have playdates with other people.”

 “At least they both look nice I guess that’s all we can ask for.”

Since everybody was all set, I went back home to shower and change to go to my night job. After my long steaming hot shower, I blow-dried my hair then went and sat inside my closet trying to find out what to wear. At the corner of my eye I saw my black Ramy Brook Angela cutout mini dress and realized that it perfect for the professional but sexy look I was going for now I just had to find shoes and accessories. I grabbed my argneto Saint Laurent women’s Cassandra 110 high-heel sandals, silver Gucci Broadway snakeskin clutch with double G, Bloomingdale's diamond mosaic drop earrings in 14K white gold, and Gucci 18K yellow gold running G triple band diamond ring. After I got all decked out, I put my hair into a middle parting high ponytail and checked myself over in the mirror I went downstairs and yelled for Dom. He met me at the bottom of the stairs in black slacks and a white button up shirt. He said, “You look nice but if you could lower your voice in a house full of shifters that would be nice.”

 Jade replied, “I second that. Are you guys ready to go yet?”

I said, “Yeah. Is one of you riding with me or are we riding in separate cars?”

Jade said, “I will ride with you because I don’t plan on coming home tonight anyway. Seeing how I have a date with the guy who installed the security system at the museum and both Tiffany’s stores.”

 “Not bad f*****g the information out of him.”

 “More like f*****g him to sleep then hacking his computer to get the information I need, erasing my digital fingerprints, then f*****g him again before doing the whole walk of shame thing.” “Alright let’s go.”

We all walked to the garage and jade and I got into my black and red 2013 w motors Lykan hyper sport and Dominic got into his 2020 red Chevrolet Corvette. We pulled out of the driveway and we headed to the club with Dominic following close behind me.
