Alessandro suddenly realized his lips were curled upwards and gasped. He reached up to touch them in disbelief.
The smile he just had wasn't one of his usual insincere or mocking smiles, it was genuine. He felt a tinge of happiness in his heart, something he hadn't felt before.
People sometimes admit they have moments of happiness,
but Alessandro couldn't truly remember anytime he had felt any inner joy.
“Over snacks?” He scoffed, shaking his head. As he turned to return to his study, his eyes locked with Sophia's.
Sophia's emerald eyes looked hypnotizing, but in a moment, he snapped out of it and hardened his expression.
Without hesitation, Sophia looked away and scurried down the hallway.
