The minute Mona and Dane left the dining room, I felt a hand grab mine and we disappeared, in a flash and when I looked, I found myself in an open field.
I looked round, searching for the familiar cold floor and old bricks in the palace but found none. The only possible human being I found in front of me was Jake.
"What the f**k was that?." I asked, visibly annoyed by him. "You're hiding things from me, Ellie. Why?." My mind consciously let me know that he might have suspected me. I quickly pushed it behind and cleared my throat.
