A bitter smile spread across my face, as the implications of those words were clear enough. This was not about me, it was about the child.
The former Alpha and his wife never cared about me from the beginning, they only wanted to use me.
"I understand, I hope you can find the culprit who was behind all of this and bring them to justice as soon as possible," I said with a façade of calm.
The former alpha nodded his head, "Alec is your husband and alpha. You should learn to keep him grounded instead of just letting him do whatever he wants," he said to me.
My mouth fell wide open in shock and anger as I turned to look at the former alpha but he was already walking away after he said this.
