My eyes stayed on Lena as she left Alec's office. What in the hell was she doing in there? Her head was held up high and her steps remained calm. My eyes trailed to hers and there were no signs of tears on them, her face held no panic whatsoever. No sign that she had just been scolded by Alec, she just came out as if nothing happened, how is that possible?
That thought alone made my stomach churn. I shifted more behind the stone pillar that kept me hidden, watching her retreating figure.
