My eyes gently opened, the gentle breeze from the open window blew to my face and soothed my skin. A guard stood by the door, and the moment he sighted me, he rushed to my side.
"Alpha! Finally, you're awake." He bowed his head slowly before gently raising it. His eyes held relief, did I put everyone in worry?
I tried remembering something, anything at all, but it just made my head bang.
"What happened? How long was I gone?" I asked in curiosity, but before the guard could say anything, a pack healer walked in.
"Alpha, it's better if we keep the questions aside for now and let you rest," Then he faced the guard whose head was now bowed slightly, "You, inform the Beta of the Alpha's current situation, tell him nobody should visit him for now, he needs all the rest he can get."
