The day after Alec visited the guest room, I woke up before dawn and lay on my creaky bed, staring at the new ceiling that I wasn't used to. It wasn't my old room, but this would do just fine. I tried not to drift my mind to neither Alec nor Scarlet, I just wanted to let my mind drift far with peace. I breathed in deeply, trying to absorb the fresh air that accompanied the room. It seemed like no one had been in here for some time. That's probably why Alec brought me here, to punish me.
