She was just a child, and she didn't cause much disturbance. Alec was still having a discussion with some of the village wolves, but something in me told me that the child needed help.
I didn't want to abandon her just like that, and so I went after her.
She was a child and she could not run far, I was able to catch up with her once we were far away from the alpha and the village wolves.
I grabbed her hand, and even though she struggled to get out my grip, she just was not strong enough.
"Who are you, and where are you going? Where are your parents? Did you come here alone?" I asked the child as nicely as I could.
However, the child still had her guards up against me. She glared at me like I was the enemy, and it made me feel sad.
