The evening was quiet and still. Hardly any sign of human activities. Rain drizzled in soft patterns on the windows. Sarah sat alone in the dark corner of her bedroom, pondering on the events of the past week. She wrapped herself in an old cardigan Reina used to wear, quietly filling her lungs with her daughter's scent. The silence was deafening. It was past 7 p.m. By this time, the air would have been filled with sounds of Reina's voice chattering away on the phone, warming her heart more than any cardigan would. Now she was left with the sound of the rain and her daughter's smell for company. She exhaled shakily and drew the cardigan closer to her nose, drawing in long breaths. No one had heard from Reina till now—no updates, no trace, no clue. Maybe I should have paid closer attention
