Arthur stared at the message on the screen, his breath caught in his throat—the only sound in the room coming from the low hum of the city waking outside. His mind raced. His chest felt tight, like someone had cinched a belt around his ribs. Reina. This was the second mysterious message he was receiving since her disappearance. He picked the phone up from the floor with trembling hands and read the message again: “You really shouldn’t have hung up. She’s in danger, Arthur.
