I Never Thought I could Ever

Today I had my appointment at Brooklyn hospital. What a long day this was for me too. Signing up for health insurance, getting blood drawn, getting a prescription for meds. I had the works today.

I decided I was going to go sit in BBQ’s and and a nice big lunch. When I was seated by myself, I ordered a drink, then I ordered my henny wings, and Cole slaw and mashed potatoes. I was sitting in my booth being cute, reading up on something on my phone. I looked up from my phone to take a sip of my Pepsi when I noticed someone tall, dark, and handsome walking my direction.

I’m horrible I think I drooled a bit. He was so fine. And he was looking at me too. But when I felt myself drooling I had to tear my eyes away from him.

“Excuse me, I know you’re eating but can I have a minute?” I continue to look at my phone but I stop scrolling. A few seconds later I look up and it’s him. “You have 58 seconds .. go!”

He smiles, exposing those pretty straight white teeth behind those Lucious lips. “ my name is Henley, I’m a Aries, I’m fun and adventurous and wanted to get your number to get to know you more because you are too beautiful to be here eating alone “

I looked down at my plate and started to blush a bit. Henley’s smile made me almost forget everything wrong in my life at that moment. And even though my head was saying “No girl, don’t do it!” I couldn’t help myself.

“Here, take my phone and save your number” I handed Henley my phone. He quickly typed in his number. When he gave me my phone back he says “wow, a beautiful woman like you with a empty contact list? Who you running from?”

I chuckled a bit but I answered “I’m a loner in the world, maybe you can change that!” Henley took that and ran with it for sure. He wished me a lovely meal and returned back to his table with his homeboys. I low key watched Henley and how he interacts with his friends.

He’s so confident, sure of himself, handsome, his friends enjoys his company he makes them laugh. He seems like a good guy. But am I good enough for him? Only one way to find out right?
