I’m finally here in NYC! It’s busy, it’s loud, it’s bright and dark at the same time. But it’s also like a new island for me. No one knows me. I’m an alien. New me!
Once I got off the bus at Port Authority. I was hungry. I walked down 42nd street and found a McDonalds. Grabbed some food. I ordered some chicken nuggets, fries, a McFlurry and grabbed my Lyft Ride to go to check in to my air bnb in Brooklyn.
Thankfully, I found a air bnb who was willing and able to host me for the next three months while I figure out the city and where I want to live.
I arrived in Downtown Brooklyn area. Where the Barclays and the mall is. Staying in a penthouse condo in one of those big buildings.
Once I was able to check in the miss I did was eat, I took a bath and just slept for the first four days.
Sleeping knowing I don’t have to wake up to anything but peace. Every time I do wake up even just for a few minutes, I’m on my phone checking my account. “I got over a million dollars in my bank account!” I can’t help myself but to keep looking.
On the fifth day, I decided to get up and get dressed. I needed clothes and cosmetics and groceries.
So I walked up Flatbush to the mall. I went on a little shopping spree and ended up having to buy a push cart for everything I bought. I spent $2000 on start up gear.
Once I finished I decided to go home and change into some of my new clothes. And find a hair salon. It was Summer time so a tank top and some shorts was fit for the occasion.
I found a braiding salon not too busy. It was 2pm I was done by 6:30pm. Got the nice jumbo poetic justice braids. Then I went to the Asian ladies and I got a mani and pedi. I started to feel good for my accomplishments for my day.
Now that I’m looking the part. I felt really good about myself. Walking down Flatbush back home all the guys trying to get my attention. I would smile a little but I wouldn’t say much else.
I’m not ready yet! Before I could think about a relationship I need to make sure my health is good first.
