It was a quiet night — long after the festival lights had dimmed and the laughter of the people faded into sleep. In the hidden garden behind the palace, where only moonflowers grew, Kael sat beneath a silver tree, a journal open on his lap. He was writing. Not as a king. Not as a warrior. A breeze rustled the petals above, releasing a soft glow. One bloom detached, floating down into Liora’s open palm. She held it between them. “Did you know moonflowers only bloom when they sense love nearby?” Kael leaned closer. “Then I guess they’ll never stop blooming here.” --- Far beyond Elyria’s borders, stories would be told of a cursed prince and the girl who never gave up on him.
