CHAPTER 4 – FIRST DAY

1034 Words
When I woke up, I was surprised to feel a bit sore all over body which is a rare occurrence for a werewolf who has an accelerated healing ability. When I remembered the reason for the soreness, I became aware of the hand that was pinning me down by my stomach. I looked beside me and saw the handsome face of my mate. He is sleeping which is a bit of a surprise. I don’t know much about the literally cold-blooded vampires but I do assume that they don’t sleep or something like that. I kept staring at him before he stirred and subconsciously pulled me closer to him, I stopped staring and turned to staring at the ceiling while enjoying the sparks from the contact or rather just enjoying the moment. After some time, I finally thought that it would be a good idea to get up but when I tried to get up, the hand tightened around me. “Come on. I need to get some things back in my cottage and a shower.” I said after a kiss on his chin. “Just stay n***d. I think nothing is more beautiful that your n***d self.” He teased and winked. I rolled my eyes. “Haha very funny. If you trap me here the whole day, I will or might die from exhaustion.” I said as I successfully wiggled out.                 I stood up n***d in front of him since there really is no point of being modest after that passion a few hours ago. I looked around the messy floor and spotted his blouse, I picked it up and put it on before proceeding on picking up my clothes. “If you want to leave darling, you have to stop that.” I heard Josh say behind me and I laughed.                 I blew him a kiss before going out and proceeding to my own arranged cottage which I presume is not going to be spent in alone during the rest of my or our stay. I proceeded straight to the shower after dumping my clothes on an armchair. Slowly but surely, the soreness of my body disappeared with the water flowing down the drain. Although I cannot help but agree to what I’ve heard that the shower is the best thinking place because all the things that happened last night came flashing back that it made me blush. I just sang for distraction and showered two times faster than necessary. When I came out of the shower and went to my unpacked luggage for a change of clothes, I saw the hiking and all sort of clothes for the planned activity I had in mind before I met Josh. It made me think that my plans have already changed now that Josh is here but probably not necessarily changed. “By the way, why are you here?” I asked Josh during our late breakfast in his cottage, he cooked of course. Cooking for me means burnt food all the time, it’s like the pot or pan doesn’t like me. “This place is my regular get away place. I come here all the time when the city life is too…city.” He said as he scooped up the last bacon and put it in my plate. “Oh.” I gobbled up the food in my plate when I realized that I’d die of hunger if I keep the lady-like charade in front of him. “And what about you? Why did you come here? First time, I think.” Josh asked as he leaned back in his chair with his coffee, he barely ate though, it’s a vampire thing according to him. However, his question made me regret asking in the first place. “To get away as well…from the city.” It’s a half-lie but there is no way am I going to tell him that I came here to get away from my ex who cheated on me but I think he knows because he raised his eyebrow at me. I just smiled at him and changed the subject to the original subject that I wanted to really ask. “Since you’re here all the time, will you be my guide? I want to go hiking.” “Well the management will not let us go all alone up the mountain so we should just be human about it and go with a tour guide. Who knows what I will do to you up in there in the mountain.” He gave me a suggestive look and I scowled at him. “But seriously though, I usually just sleep when I’m here. I was never really interested in the activities that the establishment offers.” “Well, I am so we are going hiking and I do hope for my jealous sake that you were sleeping here all alone in the past.” I said as I got up to go change into some hiking clothes. “Don’t worry, it’s my sacred place.” He called out and I smiled.                 After changing, with Josh fussing about my shorts which I ended up changing into jogging pants, we finally headed to the main building of the mountain resort. The ads for this place was not lying at least since I saw the pools with the sky-high slides and all the directions to the spa, salon and other stuff like that. While waiting for Josh to settle things, I looked around and found that despite the reason, I really am grateful for coming here and not just because this place is relaxing. I looked at Josh who is filling in some forms by the counter and could not help but go and hug him from behind. I heard him chuckle. “You need to fill up the rest of this since there are still things I don’t know about you.” He said as he pulled me in front of the papers and then switched our position into which he’s the one hugging me from behind. It’s sweet until you realize that people are staring.                 The day continued with the walk with nature and 20 questions with Josh. Our guide tried to really not listen and tried to put a reasonable distance between us but it seems like being with Josh really make us ignorant to other things or people around us.
