The door was open. Adrian stood in the dark doorway, his grey t-shirt gone, his chest bare. Water drops still sat on his shoulders from the shower. His black sweatpants hung low on his hips. His hair was wet and messy, falling over his forehead. In the soft light from the hallway, I could see every muscle on his chest and stomach, tight and hard, like he spent hours in the gym punishing his body. My breath stopped.
