Z A R A H P O V "You can't be serious mom," I said, looking at her for the hundredth time "Of course, I am," she smiled. "I am not ready to get married yet," I sigh in extreme exhaustion. "Honey, you are 20 years old. It is not easy to get married. Getting married will be completing the other half of your deen, which will lead you closer to Jannah. Someday you will have to get married," mother sat down on a chair. "Mom, that is someday. Not right now. I want to finish my studies, then stand on my own two feet. I don't want to rely on someone else," I said, giving mother her medication. "That's not a good reason, sweet. I am not saying you have to marry this boy right now. Think about it overnight, and then let me know. It would make me happy to see both of my girls getting married before I die," she smiled, taking the medication from me. "Mama, don't say that. I will think about it," I sigh in defeat. "Thank you. I know I can count on you," she hugged me. I took a seat on the chair that was in the kitchen. I didn't want to see mom sad or disappointed. I will do anything for mom to be happy. I walked up to the fridge and took out some leftover biryani. I put the plate in the oven to warm it up a little bit. Mariam walked up to me and asked, "Are you doing it?" "I don't know. I am going to give it a thought overnight," I answered. "This is a big step. Marriage is for the rest of your life," She pointed out, and she was right. "I know. It's just I don't' know. I don't know what I am going to do about it. I don't want to see mom sad. I want to make her happy. If she is happy then I am happy," I reasoned with her, well more like myself.  "Well, Wahid bro called. He said he is at the Grubby Smoothy place. He wants us to meet him there," Mariam said, checking her phone. Walid is our cousin. He is a wonderful and strong man. After his father kicked us out, he helped us when we were in need. He is 25 years old and still not married yet. "You go ahead. I am busy. I am two tests tomorrow; I can not take the risk of failing it," I told her. "You and your studying," Mariam grumbled. "Go. Brother Wahid will understand," I assured her. "Fine, I am heading out. Do you need anything?" She asked. "Can you grab an Oreo Cake on the way back home. I am craving for some Oreo Cake," I requested.  She nodded her head. Closing the door, I went up to my room. I then started to do my school work. Soon the day turned into night, and I was exhausted.
