Damian’s voice slams into my mind so suddenly, I stagger.
‘River, we found her. Stella’s alive, but she’s in a bad way. Mason took her and Mitchell to Knight Castle for help.’
My heart stops for a moment.
‘Oh, thank the Goddess,’ I say.
‘Where are you, River?’
‘Don’t worry, Damian. I’m with Helena and Kaiden. Mason should be back soon. We’re looking for any other victims.’
‘We have them all, River.’ I breathe a sigh of relief at Damian’s words. ‘We’ve done a full sweep of the facility, and there are no more patients to rescue. We’ve even got Dever’s files, every little thing about his experiments, potions, and anything else he was working on. We have it all, baby.’
I smile because I love how, even when I’m my male form, Damian still talks to me the same as when I’m a female.
