Damian I walk into the dining room, and all eyes are on me. I furrow my brow when Willow starts laughing. “What’s so funny?” I ask as I take my seat at the table. “Where’s River?” Stella asks, avoiding my question. “She’s still asleep. I could have woken her, but it was a long night.” Willow laughs again. “Yeah, I bet it was.” “That’s enough, Willow.” Dad snaps. He looks at me. “Daniel okay?” I nod. “Yeah. I fed and changed him, but he fell back to sleep. So, I put him down while I eat.” “Didn’t you eat enough last night?” I narrow my eyes at Willow. “What the fuc.k are you talking about now?” “Willow,” Mom shakes her head. “Do not say what I think you’re going to say, not in front of Daisy.” Daisy, my sweet youngest sibling, is nine years old, and so innocent it makes me smile.
