Nathalie. He walked out of my apartment without so much as a glance back. I stood there staring at the space where he'd been, for God knows how long, letting my heart break over and over in the same spot. My hands finally moved, clutching at my chest as I sank to the floor. I wanted to cry. God, I wanted it so badly. But the tears wouldn't come. They just refused. A small, strangled sound scraped out of my throat, some pitiful excuse for a sob, and I kept forcing myself toward it, but nothing would fall.
