Prologue

383 Words
I’ve spent years trying to drown out the memories and to lose myself in the music, the crowd, the flashing lights. But some wounds run too deep. And no matter how loud the applause gets, the ache of losing the love of my life never truly fades. With her dark outfits, calm demeanor. She blended into the background like she wanted to disappear. But I noticed her. I watched her laugh, watched her smile, watched her quietly retreat when no one else was looking. There was something about her that pulled me in. Something that felt like home. Not the kind of home built with walls and furniture, but the kind you carry in your chest. The kind that steadies your hands when the world spins too fast. I didn’t expect our lives to collide again. Not after everything. Not after the silence, the distance, the years. But fate has a twisted sense of humor. She was once mine. And I was hers. Even now, my heart still beats only for her. The world moved on, but I never did. She's still carved into every lyric I write, every empty night I endure. And now, here she is, standing in front of me like a ghost from a life I never stopped craving. Hello! This is my first story and it means a lot to me. Before you enter Chapter 1, I want to gently warn you that this world isn’t perfect and neither are the people in it. The characters you’ll meet are flawed stubborn and often unsure of themselves. They will make mistakes. They will feel too much or sometimes nothing at all. The places they go to aren’t always safe or pretty either. Think of it as real life, with all its ups and downs. This story explores themes like grief, emotional confusion, identity, and love in its many complicated forms. Some scenes may be heavy or quietly heartbreaking, but I hope you’ll find moments of softness, healing, and truth in between. Along the way, you’ll see the characters grow, struggle, and change as they navigate their messy, imperfect lives. If you’re ready to follow them through their silence chaos and growth then welcome. I hope their story stays with you even just a little. Thank you for reading. -Waeyll
