JACK’S POV
Once Jack had pecked Denver and he was sure was going to be okay, he turned and left.
He got to the black hummer jeep waiting for him.
A few members of his pack were already waiting for him.
He got to the jeep and saw Tim. He frowned when he didn’t see Eli.
“Where is Eli?” Jack asked. “He is supposed to be here with us.”
“Eli is with Ash.” Tim said.
Jack’s face became grim.
“Why?” He snapped at him.
“It’s the rule. You know it.” Tim reminded Jack reasonably.
Of course it was the rule. How could he even forget? For a second, he would have genuinely liked to say that he had forgotten.
Tim and Eli Jefferson came from a family of special wolves.
