I checked on Mr. Walter one last time. He was sound asleep, and so I closed the door neatly.
Then I felt my insides dance like jelly.
It was already four and that mean that it was closing hours for me.
I walked to Lucas’s room.
When I opened the door, I thought that he would be asleep, but he was awake. In fact, he was already standing, shirtless except for the bandages wrapped around his chest.
“Are you ready to go?” He asked me.
I blinked.
“Er.. yes.” I stuttered. “But a doctor has not discharged you yet.”
“I already called doctor Edison.” He said.
I was confused. “Hhhhhoo…
The door opened and Doctor Edison came in.
“Good morning Lucas.” Doctor Edison said.
Lucas smiled.
“Morning.” He said. “I’m ready to be discharged.”
Doctor Edison smiled and walked towards us
