Pregnancy equals road trip

"We're pregnant" shouted simultaneously both Adir and Maikiah.

Why is he rubbing her belly wait what?

"They're having a pup you goof" Accalia stated.

" No, no they can't be that’s just going to make mom..."

Turning around with a massive grin on her face my mom stood up congratulating my brother and saying how proud she was of him. Looking at me "Aren't you happy for your brother this could be you if spent more time searching for your mate" Mom chastised me.

Glaring at my brother I mind-linked him "Really and truly blessings and congratulations to you both bro, but thanks a lot." I said to him.

He didn't even respond, he just looked at me with a sympathetic smile, but I could see the joy in his eyes. I arose from my seat, put a smile on my face, and walked over to Maikiah trying not to get her too sweaty, I grabbed her hands and whispered "I love you and I'm so happy". She looked at me knowingly. To break the awkwardness, I stated now I must shower. I quickly jetted out before my mother could stop me. I showered and I got dressed. I landed on some loose long, light wash jorts that stopped right above my knees, with loose enough waist you could see the band of my lady boxers and cropped sleeveless band Tee with no bra. I put on my chain that carried my grandfather's Alpha cup ring and I went to my art studio to clear my mind.

Once in my studio I turned my music way up and started creating. I dabbled in many art forms, including photography, ceramics, sketching, and painting. I'm currently working on a portrait for my brother and Maikiah for their Luna and Alpha ceremony.

I was left to my own devices for 2 hours when my stomach started to rumble I realized it was well past lunch. I hurriedly cleaned my area put my tools away, cleaned my hands and arms as best I could, and ran off to the dining hall. When I got there I heard two very loud screeching noises.

That would be the twins, Anneis and Andalee. My baby sisters had just turned 18 two months ago. So they are just as insane about finding their mate or mates. Almost, as bad as Mom wants me to find mine. Running over to me they both look so cute, they have a Lighter skin tone with the same golden undertones as our brother. With caramel brown curly hair, medium loose curly fro that shines in the sun, a light dusting of freckles across their noses and cheeks, and hazel green eyes. They radiate sunshine and confidence. Especially Anneis she's the older of the two born with a heart of gold, she's the most optimistic person I've ever met and sees the good in everyone which makes me furiously protective over her and her wolf Glory. Then there is Andalee the younger one by twenty-two minutes. You would think she is the oldest out of all of actually. She's so calculated and very matter-of-fact about everything. She's very Type A, and she and Adir share a lot of the same qualities, except where he's a big Goofy teddy bear, she has a very Sarcastic type of sense of humor. Her wolf Naz isn't much different. But somehow, she's still a love-sick puppy.

" So I guess u heard by that look on your faces" I stated over mind link not sure if Adir was ready for the pack to know",

" Well yeah but that's not why we're excited, we'll We are excited about that."

Very unclear what they were referring to, so I simply changed topics to "Where were you two this morning for training"

" uh, we slept in late sis then we got dressed, and went to the mall". Andalee responded. These two didn't take training as seriously as I did.

Checking out their outfits they both tend to lean more prep and girly, whereas I'm a stark difference between tomboy chic with a sexy flare depending on the occasion but I mostly rocked what I felt good in. Andalee had on a white tennis skirt and an argyle print tank in pink. Where Anneis had on a matching tennis skirt and white polo tank body suit with their matching diamond tennis bracelets mom got them for their birthday.

"But none of that matters" Anneis blurted out.

"Yeah Dad just told us since the news, he's looking to hand over the Alpha position sooner than later, so he's sending Adir to the Alpha summit instead of going with him he's sending us"

" Ok cool maybe you girls will find your mates," I said.

Then Andalee started to chuckle.

"What?", giving her a disapproving look.

"Not just us, but US!" they started motioning towards me and themselves.

"Aww, s**t now" stated Accalia. "It's gonna be raining Alpha, Betas, and gammas maybe some deltas, hell even warriors. There’s no way we won't leave without finding a mate "she starts wagging her tail.

"s**t"

" Girls come to my office in 1 hour" I hear over the mind link.

"Yes Mom"

After lunch, which I could barely taste it as I listened to my sisters ramble on and on about all the Alphas, I honestly could puke. We headed to mom office. Her office was pristine mom kept everything organized. Her big light-washed desk, comfortable white chair, wall of built-in bookshelves, with lights over top of them. Mom's office wasn't as big as Adir’s or Dad's being that Lunas rarely took big meetings, but it was nice. I took a seat in one of the cream leather chairs and my sisters set on the velvet blue loveseat in the corner and Maikiah was sitting in the cream chair identical to mine.

" Where's Dad and Adir" I offered

"They are having their meeting about this weekend's festivities" Mom replied

I nodded my head.

" Well girls your Dad told me he let the twins know about the diplomatic summit this weekend and said you were all going, unfortunately, he was wrong"

"Wait What?" came out in unison from the Twins.

"But before you bust a pipe listen, Eislyn and Maikiah will be going the whole time, as it's good practice for Eislyn and Maikiah will be there. As Future Luna and Eislyn will also be there to support.

Also since Casey doesn't have a mate yet I figured he could be a friendly escort in case your mate isn't there either. "We all know, how high-ranked men can be around an unmated she-wolf". my mom said looking so sure of herself

I just stared at my mom with my eyes bugged out as I heard the twins giggling. Is mom unaware that Casey has the hots for me?

" What's so funny "mom stated

Then Maikiah started to snicker.

"Mom, did you relay this news to Casey yet?" I asked worriedly

"No, but your father might be doing it now"

I quickly mind-linked him" Dad did you tell Casey I'm essentially his date to this summit?"

"Unfortunately yes honey your brother just mind-linked me letting me know he has a crush on you, I'm sorry I wasn't aware baby, but I did remind him sternly as well as your brother that this is friendly only, and the hope is both of you find mates", he said then cut the link.

Dear Goddess this can't get any worse.

"What's the problem" Mom stated getting agitated, she was left out of the loop.

Andalee quickly spoke up" Mom are you serious Casey has had the hots for Lenny since middle school, when she started growing boobs" she giggled.

"What?" Mom said in confusion

"Well actually longer, in elementary he said I was going to be his mate. let's just say when it didn't work out that way, he was not happy about it" I said awkwardly

"Goddess me, does Darwin know or Christina? She asked just flabbergasted by this revaluation. Yeah, they were there at his birthday, when he didn't smell me more or felt a stronger connection. He bolted, shifted into Jax, and left his party, he didn't come home till morning, that's what Adir said."

" Oh wow sweetie, I guess I saw the lingering looks but I thought it was admiration, not love"

"Well he'll just have to move on, we believe in mates. Chosen mates are not accepted especially not this young" she stated matter of factly.

I rolled my eyes at her what if I wanted Casey?

"We don't he's not mate, he's a good friend to us and brother, nothing more"

"No duh, I was being facetious," I said back.

I mean, Casey is hot no doubt, with those big arms and 8 pack, his auburn locks neatly styled in a quiff, or better yet when he's all sweaty and his hair is messy and sticking to his forehead umm. Hell, I even heard from some of the pack ladies he great in the sac- I thought to myself but was cut off.

" Alrighty, their slutty mcSlutbucket when did you start thinking about Casey like this." Accalia fired at me

"He is and universally hot guy, Lia even you can see that but honestly I'm not, Not into him. I'm just aware enough to know, it would cause way too many problems to cross a line with him."

Well, I only have eyes for mate, so I have no clue if he's hot or not".

"Ok sure", I scoffed while rolling my eyes.

" Are you listening to me, Dream, I apologize I didn't realize but it's too late to back out now. But you're strong and capable and Casey is a good guy he understands the importance of a mate bond. Even if he doesn't like the results. Anyway, like I said Maikiah and Lenny will be there for the whole time. Girls you two weren't originally supposed to go because you didn't do so well on your Luna and Alpha exam, and have a long way to go but since your dad said you can go. We've agreed you can both go to the farewell dinner and ball".

"Yay" they both screeched" Thanks Mom," they said in unison before being dismissed and being reminded their dresses would need approval.

" Well now that they are gone let's go over the itinerary for the day's events." She said with a satisfied smile.

Today's the day we're headed to the Lykos embassy. The monarchy was abolished over a century ago but we still needed some sort of government to regulate us. With human and other species diplomacy and pack-to-pack delegations as well as overall across-the-board Lycanthrope laws. But folk in general have evolved vastly in the past few centuries. My pack alone originally called Beaver Moon pack when merged with a neighboring pack after their evil Alpha was defeated, my ancestor renamed the joint packs High Tide pack, that was 70 years ago. We are a coastal pack mostly surrounded by big sequoia trees and other foliage one way and the beautiful ocean the other way. We've modernized so much but keeping true to our coastal flare and combination of woodsy. We have a four-story pack house top floor is Alpha housing, the third floor is shared by the Beta and Gamma families. The second floor is pack house Omega housing and unmated warrior housing. The bottom floor is the communal spaces such as the dining hall and game room along with Alpha and Luna offices finished off with a ballroom that can hold 300 people. It's honestly insanely big but so are most Alpha's. We have a hospital, shops, and a mall right outside of the pack, we have a few family-run restaurants ranging from American to even sushi. There is a bowling alley, skate rink, and even a cinema. Also outside of the pack, we have a bed a breakfast that caters to human tourists and wolves and my brother owns a hotel closer to the city. And my father is CEO of Yarrow Industries we have businesses in shipping, fishing, and lumber outside of all our smaller businesses we are one of the richest packs on the coast. With 2000 actual pack members give or take a mating or two.

As well as shared land with the humans and a few neighboring packs with alphas with similar ideals we had a treaty with. The Bluestone pack, Golden Crest pack, and recently added to the fold Moon Rock pack that Alpha is young the same age as my brother, he's the nephew of the past Alpha. That only had daughters who both mated to a Alpha and Beta of other packs. So the nephew being third in line stepped up. Other than that I don't know much about him seeing he wasn't originally meant to become Alpha.

Lost in my world I hadn't even realized we'd made so much time. I did however notice Casey's periodically looking over at me undressing me with his eyes. "Geesh this is going to be a long weekend".

" I just feel off that’s all don't worry about me or Casey I'm here and I'm just going to go rest if you don't mind." She said

"Uhh ok Lia, love you". I said skeptically

Looking back to the right he was looking again. I raised my eyebrows, and with a tight-lipped smile, proceeded to look back out the window turning my music up. This is definitely going to be a long weekend.
