Her! Lenny, but now I know her to be Eislyn. She’s mine, she’s my mate. Apart of me thinks that’s the pull I felt towards her four years ago. I can’t f*****g believe it.

“Wait, so we’ve met”? Ha! Somehow you thought I was Adir’s girlfriend”? She asked with a disgusted face but humor in her eyes.

“Technically, we didn’t meet. I had a wrestling match with Adir, and when it was over I saw him throw you over his shoulder. Then he wrapped his arms around your shoulders and he kissed your head after he sat you down”. I rushed out. Already felt embarrassed that I had completely misunderstood the situation.

“So let me guess, only child”? She shot back at me. “ I don’t see how that matters, the interaction seemed intimate”. I returned.

“No, it's called affection, nothing is intimate about siblings goofing around. He kissed the top of my head” she said giggling, seemingly amused by this situation.

“What? Have you never had a family member show you affection” she said with a smile.

Trying not to show on my face the pang of sadness that shot through my heart. But I guess I failed miserably. Just then she reached out and grabbed my hand. An explosion of tingles radiated through my arm. Even made my d**k twitch. I instantly relaxed.

“Hey, I’m sorry”, she said “I know how to put my foot in it, don’t I, she whispered looking downcast.

I stepped closer to her lifting her chin with my finger. She looked worried. I just wanted to kiss her worries away.

Instead, I said. “Hey sunshine” don’t worry you didn’t say anything wrong”. And we didn’t know anything about each other.

She smiled at my gesture of reassurance. All I could do was stare into her eyes. I just stared into them getting lost in her chocolate pools and those flecks of 14k gold. Her eyes were so unreal and beautiful and I had forever in them.

“Do it, do it now Mark mate” – Roman says pestering me over and over

“No. I can’t just mark Mate in the middle of a luncheon. Are you insane, we just met”

“But mate is so pretty, she wants us I can tell” – he whines.

“That doesn’t change that this isn’t the time or place besides I want Eislyn to ask me. We waited this long to be with her we can wait a little longer.” Reminding Roman but also myself. I wanted nothing more than to take Eislyn right here and now but I had to be patient. If it’s one thing I’m good at being patient when I want something.

“Lunch is Served” came a loud and posh voice floating across the room. Knocking us both out of our staring contest, goddess she’s out of this world.

Turning away and heading towards her seat, I took that time to notice her amazing ass. Not too big but not small. “Perfect”, I mumbled under my breath as she walked away swaying her glorious hips. I had to adjust myself.

“You eating or enjoying the view”? She whispered over her shoulder just enough for me to hear her. “Both if I have it my way”. She blushed picking up the double meaning of my words.

Taking a few long strides I caught up to her. I pulled out her chair noticing the place card next to her was for her brother, I decided across from her would do. I already loved staring straight into her eyes and watching her full lips. Besides, if I took the seat next to her there’s no guarantee I’d keep my hands to myself.

Making my way to the other side of the table I grabbed my place card and switched it with that of another Alpha.

“Hey, I think that’s my seat” A man who kind of resembled a surfer dude, like a Brad or a Chad. said to me. I was not impressed.

“I think you are mistaken Brad your seat is down there” pointing to my original seat that just so happens to be next to Tonya, and across from Frederick.

I looked a Frederick pointedly. He just shrugged.

I heard Eislyn stifle a giggle. “Brad? The name is Alpha Lance and I’m 100 percent sure this is my seat”

“Look Chad, I’m one percent sure I don’t care, your seat is down there. I was getting annoyed, he had an annoying aura about him. Now let’s end this conversation, so we can enjoy our food” I snarled at him.

Eislyn giggled again. I’d insult Brad here all day if I got to keep hearing that sound.

“I don’t know who think you are” but he was cut off by Eislyn clearing her throat.

“Chad is it? How about you move along to your seat, you’re holding up lunch. As we all know this summit is for meeting new people and gaining insight on the betterment of our species. And since I’ve already had the displeasure of meeting you not once but twice in the short time I’ve been here. And as we both know you have nothing insightful to say. Just do us all a favor and have a seat. DOWN THERE”! She points to the empty seat.

Damn, my girl is feisty, all I know is he better listen, if he says anything to her I’ll rip his tongue out. We both started pushing out our Auras and to my surprise, hers was just as strong as her brother’s, well almost.

Alpha d**k face walked away. I turned to Eislyn and she just stared at me before cracking up.

She’s perfect.
