Grandpa and I walked back towards the group. Kenzo and Sota were already waiting, along with my father. Nadia and Alessandro were just getting off the Ferris wheel and walking towards us. I figured they would stop to talk to us, but Alessandro kept dragging her towards the end of the pier. We all silently followed, knowing it was time. Kenzo gravitated towards me like I was the sun in his sky. He didn’t say anything, just followed closely behind me. As much as I hated to admit it, his presence was comforting to me.
