One of the event coordinators handed me a puppy that was wrapped in a soft blanket. I held the small-precious creature in my arms, feeling like my life was about to change. It was just a dog to everyone else. But to me, it was everything. I’ve never taken care of anything else but myself. Even then, I seem to do an okay job with myself. How would this puppy survive living with me? “This little fella is a boy.” The coordinator told me as she patted his head. I made them hand Nadia the other one and told her that it was a gift from me. My brother didn’t look too pleased, considering how he never liked pets. He couldn’t even keep a plant alive, let alone an animal. Oh boy, this was gonna be good. I mean, it’ll be good practice for him—especially since he’s becoming a father.
