It has been a really long time that I have been an elder in this pack. It was even before Zaccai's reign as it would trace back to his father and mother, bless her soul.
Zaccai's mother had been from my kinsman and it had been really great at the time when she was mated to the Alpha. The then Alpha, he had a brother who was always envious of him and had been hoping to topple over everything. Things were not going well for him as the more he tried, the more he failed. Kato had been an epitome of evil and slimy. He would rally elders around him and most times, it was rumoured that he had witches too at his beck and call. Everyone seemed to be doing their hardest to please him and I could not understand the swooning over him.
