Rachel
It felt like I was going in and out of consciousness.
When I came to, I saw that I was lying on Chase.
My whole body was basically hanging off him.
The thing that made my heart beat with intense joy was the fact that he didn't push me away.
That means he felt something.
The brief unconscious spree I had did nothing to improve my condition.
I was still feeling hot.
No. The keyword is heat.
I was still feeling intense heat flowing through my nerves, skin and body.
The drug was still working its charms.
I couldn't focus. All I could concentrate on was thoughts of Chase.
Everything I felt was magnified.
A man wearing a lab coat was standing in front of Chase.
The man's golden framed glasses dropped but he pushed it back into position with his finger.
"Mr Williams, I have gotten the results from the test I ran on Miss Rachel." The man said.
From his words, I knew he was a doctor.
It seemed like Chase wanted to treat whatever Patricia and her cohorts spiked my drink with.
I hugged Chase tighter.
He tapped me softly, "Behave."
"Speak, I didn't call you here to dawdle." Chase said with irritation coating his voice.
His voice sent shivers through me and I leaned closer to his chest. I wanted to hear more of his heavenly voice.
"The drug in Miss Rachel's system is unidentified. It is a mixture of many r**e date drugs and aphrodisiacs." The doctor said in a solemn voice, "I am sorry for my incompetence. I can not provide an antidote for the drug she was given."
Chase didn't say anything. He just glowered at the doctor.
He sighed and pinched his nose bridge.
"Mr Williams." The doctor called hesitantly, "The only way she can survive this ordeal is for her to have s****l relations with a man. Without that, the drug's effect would fester into something worse."
Silence reigned again.
I was hearing what the doctor was saying but my brain wasn't interpreting it into information I can understand.
The only thing that filled my sense, concentration and mind was Chase.
Whatever the doctor was saying was gibberish to me.
I could only notice how Chase's mouth closed and opened with sensuality oozing from it.
After the doctor's words, Chase's black eyes took on a darker tint.
"You can leave." Chase said to the doctor in a rough tone.
The doctor did not reply. He bowed slightly before he took his leave.
The door closed softly behind the doctor.
I tried my utmost best to get closer to Chase.
I could swear that Chase had a pink and sensual color around him. It increased the charm Chase wielded.
I wanted to feel more of his touch.
I stared at his face. His jaw was clenched and he was looking down at me with hooded eyes.
"Help me, Chase." I whispered as I moved closer to his hooded gaze.
His eyes seemed to suck me in like a swirling whirlpool.
Its force wasn't something I can resist. It is not like I wanted to fight his eyes' pull anyway.
"I can't." Chase said with great restraint hidden in his low voice.
I tilted my head to the left side as I stared at him.
He groaned, "I can't do this to you. I can not take advantage of you in this state."
I wasn't able to understand what he was saying to me at first. Still, my drug-addled mind knew his words and actions meant refusal.
Right now, refusal was something I can not take.
Like a switch, the words the doctor said came back to me in full force.
The doctor said I needed to sleep with a man.
Sex was something I had avoided.
I was looking for the person that I was sure I would spend the rest of my life with.
I took it as a serious thing.
Besides, I was focused on my family and career to care about dating.
Now, I was ready. Chase was the one for me.
I wanted to spend my first night with him. I would not have it any other way.
I sobered up a little.
"What? Isn't my suffering enough? Isn't something like s*x supposed to be spent with someone special?" I argued as I glared at him.
"Yes." Chase acknowledged.
"So what are you waiting for? You are a special person to me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Isn't that enough reasons to go through with this?" I questioned as I clenched my fingers on his clothes.
Chase sighed, "You don't know what you are talking about. You are under the effects of the drug Patricia spiked your drink with."
He moved to stand up but I wrapped my whole body around him like a koala.
He patted my back in consolation.
His touch made me jerk a little.
My action elicited a brief gasp from him.
In my defense, I didn't jerk up on purpose. His hand was to be blamed.
I knew I might be guilty of using unfair means to achieve my goals of getting him. Still, I did not care.
Chase was an obsession.
I was prepared to use both fair and unfair means on my pursuit of Chase.
"Rachel, I just wanted to get you water." He said softly. It was like he was speaking to a kitten with its claws out.
I didn't know notice my thirst before. When Chase mentioned it, I felt my throat run dry.
It felt like I have been starved of moisture for months.
"I knew you were going to get something." I said to save my slipping dignity, "Don't change the subject Chase. This is not the effect of drugs or alcohol at work here. I like you. No, cancel that. I love you, Chase."
Chase went to the kitchen and took a glass cup. He grabbed a bottled water from the fridge before sitting back down.
He did everything with my body still wrapped around his. I refused to let him go.
He poured water into a glass for me and I drained the contents of the glass cup in a gulp.
I was straddling him. I liked seeing his face.
I used my hands to hold Chase's chin so that his eyes was directly facing line.
"Chase, I know what I am doing. Don't worry, I will take all the blame." I assured him.
Chase stared at me without saying a word. He continued to gaze at me and I had to look elsewhere to escape the intensity in his eyes.
Somehow, it felt like my words released a beast. An untamable one.
"Rachel, I gave you time to refuse." Chase said as his thumb traced the outline of my lips.
He stood up abruptly.
My hands wrapped around his neck and his hands held my thighs to steady my body.
He headed towards somewhere with purpose in his every step.
"Don't worry, Rachel. I will take all the blame." His hot breath caused a blush to color my ears.
My hands tightened as Chase led me towards what would be the best night of my life.
