11. Closer than you think

ALPHA RAYMOND POV :

Well. That's a turn for the books!

Watching Raya and Archie look at each other with total adoration for each other, a pang of jealousy of what is so innocent and real. And how it was stolen from me.

Hold on. Just how long has my daughter has her wolf for?!

I cleared my throat making them glance my way.

"Raya, is there something you have been hiding from me, bella?"

She holds my eyes, still swirling aqua pools.

"Hello Papa, is there something You have been hiding from Raya, Papa??" she asks with a raised brow. Slight smirk.

Ohh s**t. Her mother does that when she knows something. Her wolf knows!

"It's a pleasure to meet you ....?"

"Pandia," her wolf replies.

I furrow my brows, Pandia? As in ,Pandia, Pandia? I think to myself. She watches me and nods, like she knows my exact thought.

How is my daughter blessed with such a wolf, as a witch/she-wolf hybrid?!

I need to talk to Izzy!! And quick!!

Raya's sweet voice fills the room of silence.

"What is Pan talking about Papa?"

"We need to see your mum, my da.." s**t, almost, "My darling".

As I was about to send Izzy a txt, a purple ringed portal opened up in the middle of my office. I stood there shocked.

But before anyone had even come through, Raya looked to the portal and says, "Hi Mumma!"

And through the portal she steps.

All grace and beauty. The only woman I've ever loved. Raya's mum, Izzy.

Once she is through Raya runs to her and Izzy embraces our daughter. She stands and looks to me with her violet eyes.

"Hello Ray." She says in her voice sweet as honey that carries like a sweet melody on the wind.

"Hello Izzy" I reply breathlessly. She takes it away every time.

It's no wonder her husband. My brother, the i***t, hates everyone. He has to see everyone ogle this beauty every minute of the day.

Izzy hasn't changed in all the time we've known each other. Long satin black hair that reaches her waist, framing her heart shaped face with perfect pouty rose colour lips, and those eyes. Purple with stars of silver from the center.

Raya is the shorter spitting image of her mum, except for her having my dark brown hair and bright emerald eyes. She also has the silver stars in her eyes. Izzy said it's hereditary in the first born daughters of their family.

"Feel like telling me why I felt my daughter needing me, Raymond?" Izzy asks, as she looks around the office.

I glanced to Raya, who had moved back to the couch next to Archie.

Izzy followed my eyes as I nodded in Rayas direction and she saw how Raya and Archie were looking at each other and I saw a flash of pain in her eyes. I wonder if that was the same look I had in mine moments ago.

"Raya?" Izzy said. Raya looked up to Izzy,

"We've found our Mate mum", Raya said grinning.

A smile so bright it could outshine the stars that made my own face star to smile with hers. Even Maximus stood to the side of the room with a grin on his face watching Raya like a proud big brother would.

Archie stood and held his hand out to Izzy.

"I'm honored to meet you, my Mates mum. We have met before in passing but never officially. I am Archie Walker, I am apart of this Cresent Moon pack here and work for Alpha Raymond", he says and glances my way as he mentions me.

Izzy glances my way with pain in her face. She knows the Mate bond. A witch and wolf bond isn't the same as two wolves mate bond, but it is as strong as the bond, regardless.

She looks back towards Archie and gives him a soft smile taking his hand,

"It's a pleasure to meet you Archie", as she holds onto his hand she closes her eyes and a soft white glow fills the room, Archie looks between Raya and I and we both smile at him letting him know its OK and he relaxes.

Izzy smiles and the glow dissipates and the room returns to normal again, as she opens her eyes again, the silver stars in her eyes are shining, " I have seen all you've done and been through for my daughter. Thank you for protecting her and always having put her happiness above your own for all this time Archie. I have no doubt you'll be a wonderful mate to our Raya".

He looks stunned and Raya stands up and next to them and asks, "What did he do? Show me too mum! Please??!!"

Izzy laughs. "OK my darling come here", she holds Raya's head and puts their foreheads together. The white glow fills the room again, and I know Izzy is showing Raya all the times Archie has been watching her and keeping an eye one her. Protecting her in the club, in college, at parties, everywhere she went. There he was, guarding her. Even when she was with Jude. He was always behind the scenes making sure she was safe.

I could see the smile spread on Raya's face and a few tears fall down her cheeks. As we were watching them a golden glow started to come from Raya as she smiles, swirling up from her body into her mother's white glow, another first I've seen today it seems! My girl truly is something special! Archie stood behind her, obviously feeling her through the bond.

Again the white glow leaves and as Izzy let's go of Raya's face, the golden glow slowly absorbs back into Raya, they look at each other and smile. Raya then turns immediately and looks up to Archie, she holds his face in her tiny hands, looks into his eyes and says to him,"I love you too, Archie".

As a tear fell down her cheek and he leans down to her and takes her face in his giant hands and kisses the tear away, saying sweetly to her, "Always have, always will, Raya", and lifts her in bear hug, embracing her.

Izzy watching them smiling softly turns to me and gives me a look. I return the smile and nod. I know. Now is the time.

"Raya", Izzy begins," You're dad and I need to talk to you my sweet",

Raya looks over to her mum with her head resting on Archie's shoulder. She only reaches his chest at most, but with how he'd lifted and was holding her with her feet dancing off the ground she could actually rest her head on his shoulder.

I chuckle to myself looking at them...my wolf Leo, who has been very quiet throughout this while evening, chuckles too,

"Our pup makes him look like a giant", he says.

I have to agree with you there! Did you know she had a wolf?

"I knew. But the Moon Goddess said it was more important for us to not know about Pandia. I have seen her. She is magnificent. She is also very special, I'll explain more later, someone is waiting for you".

I look up to see Izzy watching me.

"Sorry. Leo." I said tapping my head and she smiled and nodded understanding.

"What is it mum? Do I really have to talk to dad? It will ruin the day!" Raya asked, she really doesn't like him.

"Not Ben". Izzy says shaking her head, and she looks towards me,"You're real dad", Izzy says smiling at me.
