Chapter 2: Elizabeth Lockhart

Ever been cheated on? Used you to get another girl jealous? I have. I've never been in love, never had a boyfriend. Been to dates yes. But only to be used. But that was all last year. This year I start my first year of college. I'm going to study to be a kindergarten teacher. I love kids.
"Hey, chica." I turned to see Brooke. She's my best friend and she's my sister from another mother. I love her. She's half American and half Colombian.
"Hey, Bestie." I said as I put my books in my locker.
"I'm so excited to study fashion design." She squealed. She is probably the most chirpy person you'll ever meet.
"Hey, girl. You, me on a date this Saturday, what do you say?" Some guy I've never met asked me.
"How about no, stranger." He just shrugged and continued his way.
"Why me?" I sighed.
"You're hot, you look like a porcelain doll. The cute ones not the creepy ones. Reasons why guys ask you out."
"Nah, they're all tools. Besides, I learned my lesson in high-school. I'm just good to be used. So no guys for me." I answered her.
"If you say so, I wish a guy would like me. But apparently to them, the skin matters." She sighed.
"Brooke, you have a gorgeous skin. The right guy will come and like you for what you are. An amazing girl." I gave her a side hug as she smiled. We said bye and she went to her class and I went to mine.
After classes were over. We went home. Brooke and I live in an apartment that's 20 minutes away from campus. We told our parents that after high school we wanted to live together. So they are helping us with the rent which isn't expensive. We did tell them that we can work. But they said to focus on our study.
Nicolas
As promised, I called mother and told her where I was. She also informed me that father was very angry that I ran away. I had to, I wasn't living my life the way that I wanted. Life at the palace was boring.
I got into college. She made me take an exam there. I told her that I was really smart. I didn't need to study for the exam. She handed to me and I took them. When she saw it, she was surprised and told me that I would be a great addition to the university. The perks of reading a lot and always paying attention.
She also told me, that tomorrow she will ask one of her favorite student to show me around. I was really excited about this new chapter in my life. Leaving the palace was the best that I could've done.
Back at Sherwood Palace.
"I don't care if he feels suffocated. He needs to take over the throne." My father said to my mother.
"I'm not telling you where he is. I don't like that Lucy for my son. He isn't happy. And if being away from here makes him happy then so be it. If you destroy his happiness. I will divorce you." With that said she left. He just screamed.
He has a bad temper when things don't go his way. The only one could calm him, is mother. They may disagree in a lot of stuff. But he loves her very much. I just hope this whole marriage thing don't ruin it, since him and king Lucas want this marriage to happen so bad.
Elizabeth
I can't believe how much homework the left us already. Like it's the first day take a chill pill. Ugh. I need a nap.
"I have so much homework to last me till next month." Brooke sighed as she plopped on the sofa. she's something else.
"I know right, four more years and were out, good luck us." I grinned, she just laughed.
"Maybe this year we will meet that special guy, then we all live happily ever after. or find a prince and live in a palace."
"Okay missy, you have way too much imagination. how about you finish your homework." I chuckled. She rolled her eyes at me. I love to mess with her fun.
"Wait before we continue with the joys of homework, do we eat homemade food or order pizza?" Brooke asked me.
We both looked at each other and said "Pizza!"
Well, first day of college was a success. except for the crazy amount of homework we have to do. but its due till next monday so I got time. somehow I got a crazy feeling. No idea what that is but it has been there the whole day. Guess we'll find out soon.
