CHAPTER 22

Amelia’s POV:

“Hey Madi, you looked good today. Your make-up is so perfect. Don’t you agree girls?” She asked and her minions agree. “Thanks Alexa.” Madi smiled. “Can I help you with something?” Is Alexa being nice? Don’t tell that this is another weird thing. “First of all, I just wanted to say that I’m sorry for the bad stuff especially to you, Amelia. I hope you could forgive me?” Alexa said.

Woah! Woah! Woah! Stop right there and let’s rewind that. What did she just say? Am I dreaming? Is this a dream? Tell me? “Huh? I’m sorry.” I said. “I know that I’m such an asshole and I’m so mean to you. This pass few day was such a rough time for me and I blame it on you. I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have done that. I hope that you could forgive and we could start fresh? Alexa smiled.

“This is not some kind of joke right?” I asked with a confused look. “Yeah, how do we know that you are truly sorry?” Madi asked as well. Alexa was silent for a moment and she went to stand up on one of the tables to catch everyone’s attention. “Everyone listen up.” She yelled and students start looking at her.

“I want everyone to hear this.” She said as she looked at me. “Amelia Falcon Royale, I’m sorry for being a b***h. I was wrong; I shouldn’t have blamed my rough time on you. Will you accept my apology?” Holy guacamole, did Alexa just apology in front of the whole student? I guess she just did. Done my forgiveness meant something to her.

“Are you going to forgive her?” Madi asked in a low volume. She did ask for my forgiveness. Plus, my grandmother always taught me about forgiving and forgetting. If I forgive Alexa meaning I have to forget all the mean stuff she did to me.

If you ask me, I’m fine with it. I don’t want any enemies. I just want to go to school, learn and make new friends. Another thing is that if I forgive her then that means she is fine with the singing competition. I can finally say that I will not worry anything.

If and just if she is playing with me, why would she play with me? Apologizing to the whole school and humiliating yourself would be too much. For someone like Alexa, pride is the most important thing. Whether you are right or wrong, you will never lower down your pride. However what if she is really sincere. People do change. Maybe Alexa is changing for the better.

“Amelia?” Alexa called. “Will you accept my apology?” Her face does look sincere and sorry. Shoot! I’ve thinking so hard, I’ve forgot what to say to her. I looked at Madi who is waiting for my answer while giving me this “are you forgiving her look.”

“Of course, Apology accepted. “ I smiled. There I said it. Alexa and I are now friends. Are we? “Thank you so much Amelia. “ She smiled. “Don’t mention it,” I said. “These cause for a groupie.” She squeals as took out her and took pictures of us.

“I’ll be uploading this on the School page.” Alexa said as she is typing on her phone. “Hash tag new friends, hash tag starting over and hash tag apology accepted. There all done.” She said and seconds later our phone beeped.

One notification from the school page, It was our picture. Nice, I thought to myself. This could be the most exciting day ever. Alexa no longer hate me. As per the picture, we are friends. “Since we are now friends here, I’m just wondering if Madi could be my partner on the singing competition.” Alexa asked.

“Me?” Madi asked with a confused looked. “Why me” Didn’t I tell you that Madi has a great voice. Madi has a voice of angel. If I was able to partner with a girl, I’d definitely picked her. “My category is a duet with a female and Alexa is going to be part of the competition. I can’t choose her. Beside, you can’t deny the fact that you have an amazing voice. I’m a fan.” Alexa answered back.

She’s got a point there. It’s just a competition. I’m only joining because I have no choice. Speaking of duet, should I ask Nathan? I don’t know if he sings but it’s worth a shot. “Please say yes.” Alexa said, doing some puppy eyes. Madi looked at me asking for approval. I did give her a nod. It’s no big deal if Madi would sing along with Alexa.

“Fine, I’ll be your partner.” Madi smiled. “Yippee. Thanks a bunch Madi, you are a life saver.” Alex smile as she jumps up and down like a five year old kid. “But I must have a say on the song.” Madi said and Alexa nodded. “With pleasure”

“What’s going on here?” A male voice popped out of nowhere. We all turn to see Quiel who has a confused looked on his face. “What do you think it is?” Alexa said in a duh tone. “Amelia, Madi and I are now friends.” Alexa squeals with excitement. Quiel glances at me waiting for my reaction but I just smiled at him indicating that everything Alexa said was true.

“I can see that.” Quiel said as he still not believe in what he just heard.

“You don’t seem to agree.” Alexa ask Quiel. “Can you blame me? I’m just shocked but I’m happy for you.” Quiel smiled. “Amelia” Alexa called. “If it’s okay with you finding a new seat” She asked. “Excuse me?” I asked. I don’t get this. Alexa said that we are friends but she wanted me to look for another seat? I really don’t get it.

“Why are you asking Amelia to find another seat?” Madi asked, having the same expression as I am. “Don’t get me wrong, we are just planning the song choice for the competition.” Alexa clarified. Well, it’s a competition. I respect that.

“Yeah, but you just asked me to be your partner in front of her?” Madi asked. “I know but just for formality.” Alexa said. “It’s fine with me. I’ll just find another seat.” I said as I was about to stand up but Quiel stopped me.
