Love Me Like You Did

Chapter 2

Amelia's POV:

I smiled as I reached the gates of our school. Wait! Why they are so many students outside? "Amelia!" I heard someone calling me. I turn to see my best friend Madi Whites, short for Madison Whites, waving at me.

"Madi!" I smiled as I gave her a hug. "Could you tell me what's going on?" I asked as we broke apart. "Are you kidding me?" She asked and I shake my head. "Today is the start of the University Fair!" She said with excitement.

What the F! How could I forget the University fair? The University Fair is my most anticipated event in our school. This is where sportsmen will showcase their skills by competing with different schools. The fair will be held every Friday for the whole month of November which means no classes every Friday. Why would I even miss that?

Besides from sports, the different clubs will also showcase their talent. There would also be some bazaar fair. Cool! Isn't it?

"You seriously forgot about the University Fair?" Madi asked and I nodded. "Don't tell me that you forgot that I'll be taking part for the bazaar fair," she added. Shoot! I totally forgot about it. Madi has this online business and it is really popular.

"Let me guess" She trailed as she looked at my smile. "You did forget that I will be part of the bazaar fair. ”I'm so sorry; I totally forgot about, "I said honestly. "Since you have forgotten about it. You are going to help me out," she said as she grabs my hand and drags me to her stall.

"Don't tell me that you are selling-" I didn't get the chance to finish my sentence because she cut me. "Character collectibles" she squealed. I knew this would happen, she is so in love with panda item and she wanted to sell them.

Madi loves panda so much that she decided to collect them and since it's the university fair she decided to sell them. It is actually a good item, cartoon characters; superheroes, animal, and other collectible items are really in demand.

"How much is this?" A student asked. "P25 only," Madi answered. "Do you have hello kitty coin purse?" Another student asked. "Yes right, this way." Madi smiled. Madi is a business minded person. She loves selling things. Sometimes she buys cheap products and she will enhance it and sell it to a higher price. As Madi is assisting the two students, I noticed Quiel and his best friend, Nathan in front of her stall.

Let me tell you a secret, I really have a huge crush on Quiel for as long as I could remember. While, Madi has a crush on Nathan. Quiel and Nathan is your typical school heartthrob. Girls are screaming, wanted to be their girlfriends while boys wanted to be friends with them. They may be good at sports but they are terrible at academic. If that is the case, I'll gladly volunteer to help him out in exchange to be with him.

Believe me, the same goes with Madi who will do everything in order for Nathan to notice her. There is really something with Quiel that I can't explain. I'm happy when he is there, I get excited when he passed by. He gave me a reason to wake up every morning. Crush mode is on!!

"Excuse me?" Quiel asked, holding a superman lanyard. "P80 only" I smiled as I came towards them. Quiel smiled as he saw me. Pretty sure my cheeks are red as the tomato. I don't why but he smile is everything. "What other stuff do you have?" he asked. "What kind of stuff are you looking for?" I asked back.

"Any other Superman stuff?" he asked. "Yes! we do have a lot!" I answered back. "We have lanyards, notebook, shoes, shirts, jackets, pen, pillow and pretty much everything," I said as I show them a folder. "But take my advice; Batman is way better than Superman." I smiled at them. "Really?" he asked. I can tell that he is quite shocked. "You're a Batman fan?" he asked and I nodded. "I love Batman. I'm collecting them."

"That's a first," he said. "To be honest, you are the first girl that I met who loves Batman."

"Really" I asked in disbelief. I guess it's kinda true. Some people like hello kitty, panda and girly kinds of stuff. But when people heard that I'm a fan of Batman, they become shocked.

"Why Batman? As far as I know, he is the weakest superhero. He doesn't have any superpower." He asked. He is actually right. Batman is the only superhero that doesn't have any superpower but he is still a superhero.

"Black and yellow is my favorite color combination, Batman has both yellow and black. On top of it, I know that Batman is the only superhero that doesn't have powers but I don't care. It just shows that you can be a superhero without having powers. You can still help other people. And, that for me is a true hero." I explained.

"Nice!" He smiled. "Anyways, I'm still going to buy this superman lanyard and superman pin." He said as he hands his payment "But, I'll keep your Batman in mind." he winks as I hand him his change and left. I can definitely feel my cheeks crimson red. I hope he doesn't notice it.

Please, Lord, I hope and pray. Tell me that my crimson red cheeks are not too obvious and not visible to the naked eye. I was stood shocked. Did he just talk to me? I and Quiel are having a conversation? Is this even real?

"O.M.G! He talked to me." I squealed which made some of the students looked at me. "Sorry," I said as I felt embarrassed. "What happen to you?" Madi asked. "Quiel just talked to him," I answered as I still cannot believe what happen.

Even Madi couldn't believe it. It took her like 10 seconds to register what I've just said. "O.M.G! He did what?!" She squeals. "I know right," I answered back. We both keep on jumping until a student interrupts us. "Excuse me. I would like to buy this notebook, please. "

"Sure. That will be P100." Madi smiled.

Today is such a long and fun day.
