The funeral was to be held in the great cathedral, and it would last for three days. During those three days, a casket with the King’s remains was to be kept at the altar, so that all could come and mourn at the loss of a true and righteous ruler. The casket would be kept closed however, to persevere his dignity so that the people wouldn’t see the horrifying state he was in just before his death. One could only imagine how they would react if they saw him in that state.
