*** Sunlight crept into the room slowly, and it stretched its fingers across the floor in a perfectly straight line until it reached the foot of Adaria's bed. Here it lingered, almost as if the light didn't wish to wake her up from her slumber. But soon it began to rise across the wood, until it climbed all the way to the top. Then, it slowly made its way over her blanket, until it began to touch her face. Only then did she stir. She woke up with a dull throbbing in the back of her head, and for several moments after she'd woken up, she simply remained where she was. It took a monumental effort to even move her face away from the blinding light. As she slowly sat up, she found that Liana was already awake, and she was watching her carefully. "Good morning," she said, smiling at her.
