Vicky begged the lady not to loose hope.
"Please, don't give up. I'm sorry you lost your job because of me" Vicky apologized.
"It's not your fault miss, I was too careless" the woman said amidst tears.
"Everything would be fine okay" Vicky tried to encourage her and patted her back.
Even if Vicky didn't like what just happened, she couldn't do anything about it because the manager had already made his decision.
Anger filled her heart towards Alex. He was really unjust and no different from those horrible rich people who take pride in hurting people.
She turned around to leave when she mistakenly hit the lady's bag, sending it flying towards the floor and all the contents scattered everywhere.
Vicky's eyes landed on a picture of an old lady whom looked quite ill.
She took the photo in her hands and stood up, utterly shocked. She looked familiar.
"Who's she?" Vicky asked.
"My mother, she's really sick and my job was the only thing that kept me going to be able to pay her hospital bill" answered the lady.
"Sorry about that. You know what, why don't you call my number by Eleven in the evening?" Vicky went through her pockets and brought out a card.
She handed the card to the lady after she was done gathering everything into her back.
The lady seemed confused so Vicky smiled at her.
"Just call me okay, I'll have to go" Vicky immediately told her patting her back and then ran back into the hotel entrance.
The manager then told her that he would give her another room, because Alex was adamant on taking her room.
She was too occupied to argue any further and just agreed with the manager instead.
She went to get her stuff and moved to another room.
She entered into Alex's room without notice and found him already half naked, with a towel tied around his waist.
"Ahhhh!" She screams, feeling embarrassed.
Her screams startled him. He was actually on a phone call and didn't notice her presence in the hotel room.
He turned around to find her facing the door.
He laughed, loudly at her attitude for a little while and almost immediately, his face returned to his usual poker face.
"Now who's the stalker? What are you doing here?!" He thundered angrily.
"Sorry, I actually came here to get my things and I didn't see you there"
"Don't piss me off woman, I have a meeting to attend to so get the f*ck outta here! " He rudely told her.
" I also have a meeting to attend to as well, so don't call me jobless! And I don't want to even waste a single second with a stupid and heartless man like you!" She insults him back and head to the cupboard.
Alex could only laugh, not at her but himself.
This woman here has been rude to him since but he hasn't done anything about it.
He was even more surprised to find himself, keeping his cool with her ever since and all she does is to insult him.
He felt seriously humiliated.
When she was done, she grabbed her wrist and threw her out of his room, along with her luggage in her hands.
And afterwards, he shut the door on her face.
Felix came in much later.
He could feel the burning anger that Alex was emitting through his fierce gaze.
He was sitting on the sofa, still going through something in his laptop
"Cancel the meeting" Alex's word made him halt.
"But... the lady is already here" Felix complained.
"So...?" Alex cut off him off
"You can't just cancel the meeting at the last minute!" Felix felt angry with Alex. Why does he have to be so full of himself.
"Will you now raise your voice at me?!" Alex was also getting irritated.
Felix simply walked out on him, unsure of how to answer Alex anymore. He was just too annoying and Felix just didn't want to get on his bad side, not today.
Alex called back Felix and told him not to cancel the meeting anymore.
He went into the bathroom to get prepared.
Vicky was having a slight headache so she took some painkiller pills to relax her brain.
A message from her business clients popped in her phone with a beep. She realized it was almost time so she quickly head towards the bathroom and took a quick shower.
She prepares herself and grabbed her phone in her hands; and made a phone call
"Alicia, are everything ready?" She asked over the phone.
"Yes Vicky, everything is ready. The business man and his assistant are on their way to the conference room already" the lady answered
"Okay, make sure to keep them company for a while till I get there, okay?" Vicky told her and ended the phone.
As Vicky was heading towards the conference room, she bumps into someone. It was Danielle
Danielle is one of her close friends, though not as close as Kristen.
Danielle used to help her during tests back in the days of highschool.
"Hello Vicky, been a long while, how are you?" She asked Vicky, looking quite stunned.
" I'm alright, Danielle" Vicky helped Danielle with her things that had spilled all over the floor. " I'm sorry, Danielle. How are you? " Vicky asked as the girls stood up.
" I'm fine, I'm here with my husband, Carl" she said, as she winked at someone passed Vicky.
" Oh, anyway I gotta go now. I have a meeting to attend right now, we'lll get in touch later " Vicky quickly told her as she looked over at her wristwatch.
Seeing that she is five minutes late, she couldn't afford to delay any longer so she left Danielle after saying her goodbye.
Danielle could only watch Vicky leave as she shook her head. "Oh Vicky, ever so serious" she laughed inwardly.
Vicky hurried her steps and reached the conference room.
Getting there, she was dumbstruck to find who she never thought she would.
It was none other than the arrogant fellow who had stalked her in her room.
It was Alex...
