The answer is no. There’s no way in hell. I look away, clearing my throat before saying: “That was actually quite beautiful, thank you.” At the same time I reach out for one of the glasses, only to bump into his hand on the way. I flinch in surprise, my core twisting in a strange way. I pull my hand back without even touching the glass, suddenly sitting next to him like I turned into a statue.
