Chapter 28

-Ashes- I couldn’t let them win. I refused to. Even if I had to find a way to kill them alone, I would. That was why I had packed a bag and taken a sword with me as I walked down the countless hallways until I found the room where the prince was staying. I stood in front of his door, unsure if I should really knock, but I couldn’t leave without getting my hands fixed, and he had said he could help. I lifted my hand and knocked. After a short wait, I heard footsteps on the other side. The door opened, and the prince stood before me, seeming to know why I was there. “Going somewhere?” he inquired. “I need to get back what was taken from me,” I declared. He smiled almost cruelly and nodded. “But you need your hands fixed first,” he said. “I do. You said you could help. Help me, then.”
