I had no idea what Sivanna had planned to get Will to abandon his duties, but I had to trust she had a plan.
“Don’t worry,” Mayla said beside me. “She can do this.”
“I just don’t see how she will manage. Will is always so… serious.”
“Just wait,” she told me as we continued watching from around the corner where we were hiding.
Sivanna made her way down the hallway, and Will quickly noticed her. She greeted him with a sweet and seductive smile.
“Can I help you?” he asked.
Sivanna looked around, acting a bit confused, and I finally saw what she was doing.
“Sorry,” she said in a sweet voice. “I must have taken a wrong turn. This place is so big, it can be hard to find your way.”
“Where are you heading?” he inquired.
I was always surprised when Will spoke more than one word.
